"Ahm you can take it maybe it's important" Jennie timidly tucked the same strand of hair that Lisa just tucked behind her ear awhile ago.

"Haha important my ass" Lisa could have sworn she didn't say it out loud but then- how could have Jennie hear it if she did not do so?

"Huh?" Lisa's frown was enough for Jennie to know that whoever on the other side will be doomed

She never seen such sharp eyes like Lisa's before

Lisa looked like she is ready to kill whoever on the phone it's obvious for Jennie to know but- what really got her attention was- what could that person had done to Lisa to despise him that much...

Well, as they say, curiosity killed the cat, Jennie however managed to get the guts and ask Lisa who is calling

"Ahm I know it's not my place to ask but- who is calling? You kinda went to Mars and didn't come back once your eyes landed on the screen" Jennie tried to add sarcastic tone to light up the mood with a low chuckle but it didn't help anyway.

"No one." Lisa firmly said as if she is telling Jennie it really isn't her place to ask

But Jennie is Jennie , a curious cat she is.

"Yeah and that's very obvious he is just a no one" with a roll of eyes Jennie ended her statement

Lisa on the other hand wasn't in good mode for Jennie's childish actions

Her mind stopped working when she saw who is calling

"Don't you think you are crossing the line there Jennie?" Lisa's voice was calm yet firm but- her eyes were something else,

Jennie swore she has never seen such empty eyes before... Lisa's eyes were soulless

"Oh... you are right... maybe I should go, thanks again for having me." Jennie was hurt by the fact that she just made fun of herself, who was she to Lisa to get involved in such a matter?

"No Jennie please wait..." before Jennie could take any farther step Lisa stood right in front of the smaller girl.

"I'm sorry it's just..." Lisa looked down for awhile, searching for the proper words to not worsen the situation "it's kinda sensitive Jen... again, sorry if I snapped." Lisa's eyes were now filled with emotions but Jennie still couldn't read Lisa's face.

"No it's okay, you are right... I crossed my line." Jennie frowned as she was about to leave Lisa behind but then again Lisa stopped her.

"Jennie please," Lisa pleaded as she held Jennie's wrist "stay..." Lisa's voice came out as a broken whisper and when Jennie looked behind she finally saw it...

The sadness...

Lisa's eyes held the world's sadness in there.... the shorter couldn't just ignore the taller's pleading voice and went to sit on the not so big couch.

Lisa silently followed Jennie's steps as she too- sat down beside the petite girl.

Lisa took a deep breath and let it out before opening her mouth to say something

To her luck her phone rang again, she cursed underneath her breath and closed her eyes tightly

Jennie was getting impatient cause honestly, she didn't understand if that person is bothering Lisa why couldn't she just answer and tell him to fuck off?

"Well Im done with that shit give me this I will tell whoever this person to fuck off already " Jennie angrily snatched the cellphone but stopped immediately when she saw the caller id

"Oh" was all that left Jennie's mouth

Lisa quickly snatched her phone back but it was too late for her...

Jennie unintentionally answered the call...

"Hello?" I closed my eyes as soon as I heard his thick, husky voice.

His voice was enough for me to go all broken girl role again

It sure has been awhile father....

From the corner of my eyes I saw Jennie's guilty eyes staring at me

Calm down Lisa don't let your anger take over your body

Do not surrender for the pain Lisa...

With one last sigh I husked

"Hello." I saw Jennie shivering cause of the coldness I held there...

"Lalisa."

"Father." I didn't care how harsh my tone was, this time, I wasn't willing to show my weakness

Not in front of you old man.

"Been awhile my ungrateful child haha" I had to grip the phone tightly to prevent my emotions.

"Well it sure has been the best 'awhile' for me"

"Still have no manners kid?"

"Well, have you ever wondered from where did I get my un manner self?" I didn't need to see his face to know how mad that sentence got him.

He was always strict, no on dared to talk to him in such an attitude.

"Know what? I would never regret kicking you out"

"And I would never change a thing about it" my eyes were red, filled with unshaded tears and anger definitely appeared there.

"Well, since I have no time for people like yourself I will just tell what I need quickly" before I can even reply he started talking again

"Your mother is really sad that you are not coming tonight so yeah even tho I would rather die instead of seeing your face I would just grant her wish cause it's her birthday and let you come."

"I would rather you die too but anyway- no thanks save your life, it's not happening, not in your wildest dream."

"I don't even know why is she so obsessed with someone like you."

"I wonder too." His words cut me like knives but my voice remained cold as ever even with those tears threatening to fall.

"Anyway I for sure wasn't calling to ask you, it's an order do it yourself or I'm gonna have to make you do it myself"

"Would like to see you try..., father." I bitterly uttered the last word

"You have till 10 pm if you didn't show your pretty face then I'm sorry your funeral is gonna be the same day your mother came to earth." He didn't wait no longer as he hanged up immediately after he said what he needed to say haha and he thinks I want to live haha such a pity father.

I just stared blankly with the same teary eyes, I wonder when will I be free?

"Are you... okay?"

"Do I look like I'm okay Jennie? Would you like me to repeat what did just my very own father said?"

You Scott closer slowly taking me in your arms whispering so softly, stroking my hair " it's gonna be fine.., I promise Lili"

And for once.... I felt safe.

"Maybe in another life love would knock your door too, maybe in another life Cupid would hit you too."
