Chapter 33

Lisa's POV

"Woah"

"Surprise?" Irene said bashfully

I nodded and blinked rapidly and stared at her shocked

I grabbed her face and squished her cheeks feeling if this Real

"Am I dreaming?" I asked

"No" she stuttered the best she could as she couldn't talk.

I let go of her  face and smiled "you're really here?" I asked she laughed and nodded

"Yes silly" she said then cuddled up to me and gave me a hug she threw the blanket over us and leaned in to give me a kiss on the lips.

"Are you surprised?" She asked I nodded

"Good" she said with a smile as she brought down the blanket and cuddled to my side again

"How?! When did you plan this?" I asked

"I've had it planned since last week. I begged and begged my manager Unnie to let me leave the tour and thankfully she allowed it. Sadly only for today tho. I have to leave back tommorow morning so let's make this last shall we?" She said

"Okay but I'm still trying to process all of this I'm like baffled" I said and she laughed

"That's understandable but I promise you'll have a good day today okay" she said

"I never doubted that. I'm just shocked is all" I said with a laugh I grabbed her hand and brought it to my lips and kissed her hand. gently

"I love you" I breathed causing her to sigh contently and smile "I love you too" she said

"Ladies and gentlemen your flight is ready to depart please make sure your buckles are fastened" the pilot said

Irene slipped her hand under mine and grabbed it tightly

"I remember you are afraid of planes" she said jokingly

"I'm not afraid I just get nervous"  I said

"Aww baby you don't need to be afraid I'll be here to protect you" she said making me laugh

"Gee thanks" I said a little sarcastic making her laugh

"We should be landing soon so it's good that you woke up" she said

I stretched my limbs best I could and rubbed my eyes

"So where are we going once we land?" I asked her

"Now where's the fun if I tell you?" She asked causing to roll my eyes playfully. I wanted to know so bad.

Not too much time passed when we finally landed. We waited for the entire plane to unload and then we grabbed our belongings and I followed Irene from there on because I had no idea what we're doing or going

We went to collect our luggage passed the gate and we were free.

"So should I hail a taxi?"  I asked and she  shook her head

"Come here" she said grabbing my hand leading to the stands on the sides.

"Hi I called and reserved a car the other day?" She said as she reached the desk.

"Name please?" The girl asked politely

"Bae joohyun" she said

"Okay just give me one second while I get the keys and paper work" the girl said before walking back.

Soon enough the young girl came with papers for Irene to sign and fill out

As Irene was filling out the papers not letting anything interrupt her focus . I was in awe that I was back in New York. Even tho I was just in the airport. I looked around like a kid in a candy store taking in

"First time here?" The girl asked me as she  took her  gaze off the computer to look at me

"Me? Oh no second time actually I've always had a fascination for New York" I said and the girl smiled and nodded

I grabbed our suitcases and followed her

"Baby I got mine it's fine" she said trying to reach for her suitcase

"No it's cool I don't mind" I said but she gave me a stubborn stomp and pout and snatched it from me making me  laugh

"C'mon" she said with a laugh

The wide smile on my face quickly vanished as soon as flashes started going off and we got surrounded by men and cameras

All of them shouting Irene's name trying to get her attention many saying inappropriate or Stupid things.

I tried tuning them out as well but one of  them said something that caught my attention

" Irene how was your dinner date with Kai the other night" They said causing me to furrow my eyebrows and stop in my tracks.

I stopped and the group of men continued walking following her and I just froze trying to understand what I just heard

"Lisa" I heard her call.

I looked up and saw  her staring at me "c'mon" she said a little annoyed

I shook out of my thoughts and followed her. Soon enough the airport security came and escorted the men with Cameras out because they were causing traffic jam. Not letting people through

Irene and Reached a range rover that she rented and we loaded our things into the truck.

"Who's our driver?" I asked and she smiled and threw me the keys.

"You are" she said then walked to passenger seat

My eyes shot out of my head and I began to get anxious.

I shook out of my thoughts and worried for a second and closed the  trunk door. I went to the driver's side and got in

"Irene I don't know how to drive in New York. I've been here only once" I said panicking a little

"Baby it's fine we are gonna use the gps maps thing" she said

I sighed but my nerves took over me and I put my seatbelt on and then started the car

"I'll be guiding you" she said  while taking out her phone.

"Oh great we're  gonna get lost even more" I said

"Ha ha. Very funny" she said sarcastically "I've been here plenty of times just trust me" she said

I complied and then started driving away.  Irene directed me on where to turn and where to head.

But the only thing on my mind was what that one guy said.
