Chapter 43

Lisa's POV

I was at home it was 7 in the afternoon. Just chilling by the fireplace drawing on my sketchbook while I had a record playing

I heard the front door open and heels click throughout the house

Before I knew it I heard the door of my room open and in walked in my lovely girlfriend

"Hey you" I said

"Hey baby" she said tiredly as she approached me wrapping her arms around my neck sitting on my lap

"How's your grandmother?" I asked her

"She's better now thank God" she said making me smile

"I'm glad to hear" I said before leaning in to give her a kiss on the lips

We kissed for a little until she pulled away giving me a smirk

"So how was your event the other day?" She asked me as she started looking through her phone

It had been two days  since the eventful night

"It was cool. Someone brought the piece for a good price and I got to see Peter" I said smiling

"Lot's of old friends in that place I see hmm"  she said with a grin

"I guess you could say that" I said giggling

"You look cute here" She said showing me her phone as she showed me a Instagram post  of a picture of me and Irene

"What the hell" I said amused as I grabbed her phone to see it

Irene had actually posted the pictures of us and captioned it

"renebaebae: It was lovely to see an old and dear friend last night. I'm proud of the amazing and talented artist that you've become. I always believed in you and now you're painting the world with your creative mind , heart and Soul You're forever in my heart Lisa❤️"

"Woah" I breathed out

"Yeah I was even surprised" Jennie said

"Well that's interesting" I said laughing

"How was it when you two talked? Was it awkward?" She asked me seeming so intrested

"Kinda. But it wasn't too bad. We caught up with eachother and she somehow convinced me to invite her to exhibition" I said

"Really?  And you're not like against it" she asked me surprised

"I guess. It's cool" I said shrugging

"Well that's good for you. I'm glad you're not like holding a grudge" she said

"Wait. You're okay with this?" She asked squinting at her

"If you are I guess so . I mean I'm not that girls biggest fan especially after what she did to you but if you're okay with it I'm okay with it. No need to dwell on the past just keep moving forward" she said shrugging

"Yeah" I said unsure

"Anyway. Iam exhausted I'm gonna take a nice bubble bath"  she said "care to join me?" She asked cheekily

I stretched my limbs out and nodded "I'll meet you in there" I said and she smiled giving me a kiss

"I love you" she said with a smile.

"Love you too" I replied giving her a quick kiss before she left.

When she left the room I put the fire in the fireplace but then I took out my phone. I looked at the picture  Irene posted of us and I decided to give it a like

I was finishing up some designs in my computer in my office bopping along to some music that I had playing when the phone on my desk rang

"Lisa there's someone here to see you" my assistant told me through the other side

"I thought I had no appointments today" i said as I kept my eyes on computer

"You don't it's unexpected visitor"  she said

"Um let them in I guess" I said shrugging

I focused my attention back on the screen. Still into the music

I don't know where else I can go"

I sang while nodding my head up and down to the beat of the Smiths

I heard a giggle and I looked up and my eyes widened at who was here

"Irene what are you doing here?" I asked surprised as I stood up

"Hi to you too" she said

"Hi" I responded awkwardly with a confused smile.

"I just came by because I have something that I think would be cool for you to display in your exhibition" she said as she had a very big bag in her hand

"What?" I asked confused as I stood in front of my desk crossing my arms

"Yea I mean I feel like this was a game changer for you"  she said reaching into the bag

She pulled out something that I had completely forgotten about Something that I thought I'd never see again

"Woah" I breathed out as I looked at it

"It's the very first drawing that you did for me" she said as she showed me the sketch in the nice frame

"You kept it all this time?" I asked beyond surprised and stunned

"Ofcourse I did" she replied with a small giggle "It meant , I mean it's means a lot to me"  she said

"Irene I can't accept this. I gave it to you it's yours" I said

"No please Lisa I insist . It Deserves to be there" she said

"Irene the exhibition is going to be up for a few months" I told her

"Yeah that's fine you can return it to me when it's done. It's really no problem at all" she said "Besides I have a lot of more sketches and drawings of yours" she said

"Oh you do now?" I asked she nodded

"Yeah" she said happily

"Come on Lisa it's a cool piece" she said..

"I know that but-b but it holds a lot of sentimental value to you" I said and she nodded

"Yeah I mean it was one of the last things of our relationship that I  held. But it symbolizes not just our relationship but like we were friends too" she said with a grin

"R-right " I stuttered

"Yeah okay  id love to take it off your hands"  I said

"Okay but be careful Don't mess it up" she said

"I won't I promise" I said as I put it aside

"So" she said as she began to look around my office intrigued by everything

"How about giving me a tour of the company?"  she asked me

"Uh yeah sure" I muttered

"Great let's get to it" she said
