4. Ep 35: TapishxMeera

Scene Set Up: (Ep: 35) Tapish has come to apologize to Meera and see what she wanted to speak about. He does not find her in the room but Daksh and Ponky had come to tease him. He told that he wanted to give her a task and left with them.

Tapish is feeling sad as her drags his brothers out of Meera's room. He did not want to hurt her but what his brothers and dad said about him got to his head. He is not some weak cheel! He was the eldest of the cheel brothers but he is always side-lined. First, Veer got to be the cheel prince and inherited most powers. He could even control gandhak! Something which not even Balwant Singhania could handle. He knew veer was special and never felt any jealously. He was not like his cousins too- party animals! He was the only one who got to spend maximum time with his mother. Looking at her now, he cannot believe she is the same women who gave him values. True, she was always more interested in Veer- even more than Dheer. He thought it was because they were biologically hers but he always saw her as his mother as well. He respected women, never really dated as he was nose-deep in work, always! But when he met Meera, his heart felt an unknown emotion for the first time. He, at first, thought it was just admiration. Her shyness, those big eyes were very attractive to him. He found it cute that she stressed about everyone, always thought of everyone before herself. Ever since she came to live in Singhania house, he got to know her more and more but never thought much of it until Veer announced his wedding. He was surprised at the news but his heart gave a happy thud which shocked him more.

He thought about all these days when Meera and him stole shy glances at each other and felt disappointed in himself was hurting her. She was so simple, so innocent! She would never say she was hurt. She would never even give it back to him for saying all that to her. Had it been Bani, she would have happily dragged Veer away by his ear. She was not some fierce Naagin, but a human who accepted him even when he was a cheel.

Tapish was searching for her when he froze. Meera knew he was a cheel, her family did not. Last time, she agreed to marry Veer, she could not deny her mother. What if she was getting forced into this marriage and wanted him to end things. Was this that she wanted to talk about? His face paled. Dejected his went to check her in the room again.

T- Meera? (thinks- strange. Ye gayi kahan? Itni raat ko vo bhi. Iski maa aur behene to so rahe hai. where is she?)

He notices the gift box on her bed. He lifted it. Kya ye mujhe gift dene ayi thi? He was about to leave when he heard the water running.

T- Meera tum bathroom me ho?

He gets no response and thinks the water tap was left open by someone. He goes in to turn it off when he notices Meera.

T- Meera! Ye-ye kya kr rahi ho? Please bahar aa jao?

He gets no response from her.

T- Meera, ye kya kr rahi ho? Khud ko saza de rahi ho? Kya chahti ho, tabyat kharab ho jaye aur tumhe shaadi na krni pade? Meera, tumse ye umeed nahi hai, bahar aao..

Tapish pulls her off water. Meera blinks hard and tears well up in her eyes. She starts to shake violently.

M- Tapish- Mai-mai hill nahi paa rahi thi. Mai to tap off krne ayi thi. Achanak kaise keech gayi, mujhe- I don't know Tapish. Mai-

T- Shh Meera. Calm down. Wait...

He wraps a towel around her brings her out of the bathroom. He stares at her, worried. Things not making sense to him. Meera was crying. He wondered what would veer do as he shifted on his awkwardly.

T-Meera. Please tum chinta mt karo..

Meera looked up to him. She liked him but she did not know what to say. Tapish kept an awkward hand on her shoulder.

T- Please Meera.

Meera's heart melted at this sight. This is the Tapish she knew of. She soft guy with a good heart. She smiled, her mind is a turmoil at what happened, she should speak to Bani. She got up to look for her sister, but then remembered something.

M- Vo, Um Tapish. Ye tumhare liye tha-

Tapish is shocked to see this gesture from her. He has never received presents. Jo chahiye, paiso se le lo. Birthday par to sabhi party throw kar dete they as a gift. Booze and girls, his brothers did not even bother to see that this was not his scene. He always left those parties early to sit by the pool. Sometimes, Veer too would join him or he would just sit in there, enjoying the attention. He opened it and saw a beautiful brooch.

Meera misunderstood his silence.

M- Vo agar tumahe pasand nahi hai to- Mtlb I know ye koi keemti pathar nahi hai. But meri salary me-

Tapish silenced her by kissing her on the cheek. Both froze.

T- Um-uhem! Accha hai ye. Tum so jao. Rest kr lo...Bye

He left in a hurry. He practically sprang towards his room.

T- (Thinking) Ye kya tha Tapish?

He ran into Veer.

V- Arey bhai- kahan dhyan hai aapka? Meri gharwali ko dekha hai kya..aaj to mai use-

Veer stops when he sees the look on Tapish and the box in his hands.

V- kya baat hai, apni hone wali se gift lekr aa rahe ho?

T- Nahi, ye kuch nahi hai Veer.

V- Kuch nahi hai to mujhe de do.

He tries to snatch it but Tapish quickly hides it in his blazer. Veer laughs at it.

V- Kya bhai? Apne bhai ko abhi se paraya kr diya? Meri adhi gharwali ka jadu chal gaya hai apke?

T- Teri bhabhi lagegi veer ye kya hota hai adhi- gharwali? Tujhe teri poori gharwali kam padti hai kya?

V- kam nahi bhai, uska to poocho mt bs. Haath hi nahi aati.. Usse hi doodh raha hoon. Apne bhi baton me laga diya..

Daksh- Apki haath nahi aati pr inki to baho me aati hai..

Daksh enters from behind and claps Tapish's back.

D- Hum to inhe aise hi seedha samajhte they. Ye to bade forward nikle.

T- Ye kya bol raha tu Daksh? Ek gift ke liye-

D- Mai return gift ki baat kr raha hoo bhai ( he winks)

V- Kya?

Daksh makes a kissing face and Tapish blushes hard. He mumbles a quick good bye and leaves. Veer and Daksh laugh and leave as well.

V- Bani Sharma kahan ho tum? (Thinking- Ye Tapish bhai to bade tez nikle, aur yahan meri Aadi Naagin to mahino baad gale lagi hai and ab agle hi pal mujhe mandir ke aage bhool aayi, ab to mujhe bhi kiss chahiye)

He looks around fuming. The clueless Naagin, on the other hand was trying to figure out Meera who was standing like a statue with her hand on her cheek.

B- Di!!! Aapko kya hua? App kyu bheege hue ho?

M- Tapish ne mujhe gaal pr..

B- kya?

Meera zones back in.

M- hun? K-kuch nahi? Tu yahan. Is time? Veer se ladai hui hai kya?

B- Mera ch-

V- Hui nahi hai but hone wali hai (Veer enters and drags away bani)

Meera stares at the couple that left and shuts her door. Incident in the washroom forgotten. Bani ko kl bata doongi. Her heart pounding with new hope as she sets down her haldi dress and goes down to sleep. The smile on her face mirroring the goofy smile on her to-be husband down stairs.
