9: Part 2: Love Confession

Story setup: Continuation of Part 1: Veer and the Enchanted Moon

Everyone has come back home. The Cheels have calmed down knowing that Bani was ill treated only because Veer was under influence of Markaat. He was fine now and they dared not to say anything to him. Veer is feeling extremely guilty and he does not follow Bani as she goes back into her room. He goes to the guest room as he needs space to think and is shocked to the see the decoration he failed to see last time.

Veer stood amazed at the sight before him. Bani had planned to confess her feelings to him. Nobody could deny that she liked him, maybe even loved him by the way the room was decorated. Red heart- shaped balloons, no longer in good shape, covered the walls. Melted away remains of candles could be seen in every corner and the scent of flowers lingered in the room. Veer closed his eyes as if in pain. Had he not left so hastily, he could have received a wonderful surprise. Bani had planned to make him feel special and he had ruined it. He recalled her mehendi with his initial and how she was trying to talk to him last night. His heart felt heavy with guilt.

He had to talk to her! Apologize! He was about to leave when he stopped. He recalled how he had told Bani that he hated sasta sa sorry bolkr move on krna. He had hurt her, even though unknowingly. He had gone behind all promises he made to her and he was going to make up to her. He went downstairs only to be stopped by Balwant.

Bani was tired and sad. She had been emotionally very hurt by Veer's behaviour the day before and now when she knew the reason for his behaviour, she was ready to forgive him but he had not even come to talk to her. Was he still pissed about Jai?

Bani was wondering when she heard a knock. She opened the door to find no one but a simple box near the door addressed to her. She took it in. Inside was a letter addressed to her.

Sweetheart,

I know I have hurt you and gone back on my every word, every promise that I made to you.

Bani blushed and opened the rest of the package to find a beautiful red sari inside it. There was shimmery red blouse without sleeves and a simple, yet beautiful sari. Bani smiled and thought about all that they had been through. The times she had hurt him and the times that he had hurt her. She knew he loved her and her feelings were clear to her. She wanted to give them a chance because she knew her heart would never except another. The bad boy cheel had slowly crawled inside her heart and now he owned it completely. It was time she told this to him.

Veer was overlooking the preparations. The table, the non-alcoholic champagne and a decoration that could cause the toughest person to melt. The tent for their stay was set up perfectly in case they got cold. He was straightening his suit and talking deep breathes to calm his nerves when he felt her presence. He knew she was here and turned to greet her.
