Continuation of Chapter 35: The long lost brother.

Note: Whatever happened to Teeranshu/Teer is as per that chapter. Teer wakes up from his injury-induced coma and comes back on the night of navratri. Shukla gets killed for his crimes against him. Teer makes a drunken pass at Bani and Veer let's him go with a warning. Ignore the last few lines of that chapter that suggests a happy ending for all.

Pre-read: Bani's naagin status is out in the open. Veer remembers his eons-old love and accepts her, leaving no choice with his family. However, once they realize that Bani has no intentions of harming Veer, they accept her. Jai tries to kill Veer but that is actually Teer. Bani gets in the way, saving him and killing Jai. Since then, Teer has been seeing her in new light. He notices the curve of her lips and her beautiful, expressive eyes. What impresses him the most is her innocence and big heart. However, he controls his feelings as she is Veer's wife, his brother's love. But, Teer isn't normal. His mind is weak and with each passing day of noticing Bani, he starts to get more and more obsessed with her.

Bani serves Veer his tea. She was serving the family at the breakfast table as they all discussed an upcoming deal and a graduation party for Daksh. Daksh himself wasn't at the breakfast table as he had left early for his final exam. She hands everyone else a cup as well but the moment she hands one to Teer, she notices his hands linger a bit longer and cares her finger tips. Call it a woman's special sense but she felt odd. She leaves to bring toasts out while Teer's eyes trail behind her until she disappears from the sight.

Bani didi!

Bani turned and smiled.

B: Mehek? Aaj yahan kaise?

M: Kyu nahi aa skti kya?

B: arey nahi aisi baat nahi hai..chal bahar baithte hai...

M: Nahi di, apko kitchen me kaam hai toh kr lo, mai yahin khadi baat krti hoon...infact aap vo vegetables mujhe de do. Mai chop krte krte baat karungi and aap baaki kaam kr lo...

B: pr?

M: di...kyu formality krte ho!

B: uff! Kitni ziddi hai tu bhi...accha chod, bata ghar pr sb kaise hai?

The sisters chatted. Their relationship has improved a lot since Bani saved them all from a storm. Also, once the girls' matured and realized their mother was wrong to treat Bani like that, they stopped doing what their mother taught them to do and instead appreciated Bani.

M: wasie di, ek baat puchun, please don't mind...

B: arey pooch na..

M: (looks at the door to ensure no one is listening) ye jo ghar pr hai, vo Teer hai na, jiju ke bhai...

B: haan...Veer to bahar gaya hai...

M: ye kuch ajeeb tarah se nahi dekhte aapko?...I mean, I am sorry if it sounds wrong but he looks at you like vultures look at a dead cow, with hungry eyes.

B: aisa kuch nahi hai Mehek kuch bhi! (thinks: isne bhi notice kiya, mtlb meri galatfahmi nahi hai...Teer bhaiya ghoorte hai mujhe. Kl Meera di ne bhi kaha tha. Aur ek baar Tapish bhaiya ne bhi toka tha jb vo unse baat krte krte mujhe dekhne lgey aur respond krna band kr diya....hey Bholenath! Ye baat mai Veer ko kiss mu se kahu?)
