The Dark Side of the Moon

Chapter 5

A/n - I know Tonks is suppose to be like 7 now, but for the story she is 19 and was one year behind the Marauders.

Remus looked around the Order's headquarters. This was his first time back since he became a Death Eater. Remus shuddered. He still can't believe he did that. But what's done is done. His friends tried to kill him, so he went to the werewolves that will trust him.

Sirius came up to Remus with a very forced smile. "Remus, mate. I haven't seen you in a few days." Remus felt the wolf stir inside of him. This has been happening every time he gets angry after getting the Dark Mark.

How dare this human talk to us. He tried to kill us. Remus pushed the wolf down and smiled at Sirius. "Padfoot. Great to see you again. I haven't seen you guys either considering we're best friends." Remus saw a flash of guilt on Sirius' face before he smiled again. "Well, Moony old pal. Come sit. The meeting is about to start."

Remus sat down in between Sirius and Dorcas Meadowes. Remus gave her a smile, but she just looked away. Remus felt the wolf getting angry again. Before anything can happen, Dumbledore started speaking. "I am very sorry to say, but another member of our Order has left us." As Dumbledore said this, whispers broke out amongst other members. Dumbledore continued speaking. "Peter Pettigrew was found dead in his house yesterday. I believe it was the work of Death Eaters."

After Dumbledore finished, Lily burst into tears and James was trying to console her. Sirius had a blank expression on his face. Remus made sure his face showed surprise and sorrow, when on the inside the wolf was howling with joy. Ever since he joined the Death Eaters, he felt less constricted and the wolf felt freer than ever. Maybe it's because I accepted the fact that I am a werewolf.

Once the meeting was over, Remus decided to go looking around the house. Everyone else was huddled in groups and stopped talking whenever he got near them. As Remus walked into the house library, he noticed that one section of the library was closed off. When he went closer to that section, he noticed that most of the books were about werewolves. Making sure no one was watching him, he slipped into the closed section.

Remus noticed that most of the books were on how to kill werewolves. Remus just rolled his eyes and moved further in. One book caught Remus' eye. It was a lot older than the rest. Remus pulled it out and saw that it was bound together by leather. On the cover it said Werewolves and the Moonstone. Moonstone? What's a moonstone? Remus thought, very confused as he never heard of a moonstone, other than the ones muggles used. Remus slipped the book into his coat pocket and left the room.

Outside of the library, he came face to face with Sirius. "Hey, Padfoot."

"Can I talk to you?" he asked. Before Remus could say anything, Sirius dragged him into a room. Inside the room was Lily Evans, now Potter, James Potter, Marlene Mckinnon, and Dorcas Meadowes. 

"Hey guys. How are you holding up? With Peter dying and Lily being 7 months along." Remus said, hoping his voice sounded sorrowful.

"We're fine. How are you doing, Moony?" James asked in a cautious tone. Remus resisted the urge to roll his eyes.

"I'm fine, but I should be asking you. Now. What did you need me for?"

"Oh, right. I wanted to introduce you to my cousin, Nymphadora Tonks," Sirius said while gesturing behind him to a young pink haired woman Remus did not notice.

"Don't call me Nymphadora." She turned to smile at Remus. "It's Tonks." She put out her hand and Remus shook it. Remus forced a smile and said "Pleasure. It's great to have another addition." Tonks beamed at him. "If that's all, I have to go. I have a bit of work to do. Bye guys, and Tonks."

Remus closed the door of the room before exiting. He then heard the others talking after he left.He heard Sirius say, "Tonks, you have to seduce him. Then we're going to find a way to kill him." Remus heard Tonks reply, "Shouldn't be too hard. After all, it's a werewolf." The wolf in Remus started stirring again. This bitch... Remus calmed himself down and thought about the fact that they were planning on killing him again. Not going to happen. He thought with a smirk.

As he fixed to apparate, he felt the book he stole inside his coat. He decided to bring this to the wolves. Maybe this could be helpful to us.
