"Where did you get this?" Fenrir asked Remus while pacing around the room.
"I found it in the library in one of the houses the Order uses for meetings. What's so important about it, anyway?" Remus replied.
Vishaka let out a scoff, "You really are a horrible werewolf. Do you seriously not know about the moonstone?" Remus shook his head. Vishaka let out a sigh. "The moonstone is a precious stone that was rumored to be from the actual moon. For decades, werewolves used it to stay connected to their wolf and it gives us wolf-ish abilities like heightened senses and sometimes even fangs and changes our eye color when we get mad. About 100 years ago, the stone disappeared and us werewolves lost contact with our wolves. We grew weaker and our transformations are now way more painful." Vishaka's eyes lit up. "If we're able to get the moonstone, we can be like that again."
Jasper cut in "Vishaka has been trying to figure out this moonstone thing ever since Fenrir told her about it."
"Which I regret now," Fenrir let out an annoyed sigh, "The moonstone is a myth. There's no moonstone and there is nothing that can let us 'connect' with the wolf."
"But if it is real, then we can connect with our wolves and have abilities that others don't," Remus said, with excitement in his voice.
"Yeah, but the wizards don't want us to have other abilities. We're animals to them. To them, we don't deserve this. We're worth less than filth. Even You-Know-Who thinks that."
That last part confused Remus. "Why'd you join him then?"
"Joining him meant that we would have a bit of worth, even if it's for murder and such. We would have a purpose. The Death Eaters are scared of us and wouldn't dare try to hurt us."
Remus thought about it. The Death Eaters were polite to him and unlike his friends, didn't feel like killing him. "Do you think that the moonstone was stolen from the werewolves?"
Vishaka looked at Remus, curiously. "What do you mean by stolen?"
"I mean. You're really confident with the fact that werewolves are better then regular humans, right?" Vishaka and Jasper nodded. Remus continued. "And you also said that the wizards thought we didn't deserve the extra power." They nodded again. "Maybe the wizards stole the moonstone, so that us werewolves become powerless."
Vishaka looked like she was considering the idea. "Not bad, Lupin. I think you may be unto something. Wizards never liked people who were more powerful then them. Remember what they did to vampires in the 1800s?"
"Can you all stop talking about the moonstone like it exists. There. Is. No. Such. Thing," Fenrir said, emphasizing each word."
"Why don't you want to open up to the idea that this stone could be real," Vishaka replied angrily.
Before Fenrir could reply, a frazzled werewolf ran into the room. "Malfoy Manor, under attack. Death Eaters need help."
