Arleigh Granger awoke again screaming, sweat covering her entire skin. It had been happening for all her summer, she either didn't sleep or had nightmares about that night. She simply couldn't shrug off Cedric's dead body and lifeless face.
Her eyes became glassy again as her mother rushed into her bedroom again with both her father and sister trailing behind her.
Leigh tried her best to force a grin on her lips, for she didn't want to upset her family anymore, it was driving her crazy.
"I'm fine, guys" she lied, running an hand through her ruffled hair, "Just a bad dream"
"You've been having these bad dreams for all summer, Leigh" muttered Aislynn, "What's going on?"
The cobalt eyed could already feel goosebumps appearing on her whole skin, her eyes turned glassy again and her heart shattered even more if possible. She hadn't spoken a word about her year at Hogwarts during the summer and whenever someone tried to ask her anything about it, she would shrug her shoulders and close within herself.
"It's nothing, don't worry about it" she said
"How can we not, honey?" Questioned her mother, "We just want to hel-"
"You can't help me!" Her voice cracked eventually as a few tears escaped her orbs
"Have you at least talked to Hermione?" Continued her father and she shook her head
"She hadn't written me all summer, nor Weasley or Pott-"
An owl bursted inside her window and landed not so gently on her bed, dropping an letter on her lap. She furrowed her eyebrows and then her parents left her and her sister in the room alone.
"Who is it from?" Wiggled her brows Lynn, expecting it to be from an admirer
"I reckon Fred and George" replied Arleigh and opened the envelope
Dear Lily,
Guess who can finally use magic outside school? Find out in 3 2...
Two figures appeared opposite her bed, causing her to jump slightly while her sister literally screamed. The two twins sent her smirks and then plopped on the bed beside Leigh.
"Lynn, these two right here are Fred and George" introduced the witch with a smile, which of course wasn't completely true but non of them noticed
"Pleasure to meet you" winked Fred while George kissed the top of the muggle's hand
Arleigh smudged his arm and asked her sister to leave for a few moments, letting her talk with the gingers alone.
"What are you doing here?" She questioned, eating the chocolate frog she was given
"Well," began the elder, "Harry is in trouble-"
"The Aurors are on their way to rescue him-"
"And they'll come here as well to pick you up and get you to the Order" finished the first
"Order?" Confused the girl
"Right, you don't know about it yet" murmured George
"Our mother will explain everything later but now," added Fred, waving his wand and her trunk flew on her bed, "you need to get ready to leave"20 minutes later the twins had to apparate back at Grimmauld Place, where the Order was currently among her cousin and Ronald.
Leigh rushed to her family to let them know that wizards were on their way towards their house to pick her up, then the front door was charmed open.
"Professor Moody," smirked the Granger, "glad to see your true self"
Tonks chuckled slightly and they all entered, however her glance was fixed on one person in particular. His hair was shorter than last time she saw him and he looked less pale, though he still seemed a lot stressed.
"Hi" grinned Harry Potter and she didn't think twice as she ran to him and wrapped her arms around him.
Not in a million years would Arleigh have thought she would've been that happy to see someone, and that someone being Potter. However, she was happy to see him, she had been wanting to write him all summer but acknowledged his situation at home and didn't do so.
His arms found her back and it felt so good to embrace her again, God if I missed her, he thought. He could still see the scars from the Cruciatus curse from an year prior and it made bad memories float back to him.
"How've you been?" He rambled when they pulled away
"Not good" murmured Aislynn as she joined them in order to get to the kitchen, "I'm Aislynn by the way, her muggle sister"
Everyone greeted and then they had to leave, Mad-eye gripped her trunk and tucked it in his broom while she was finally given her Nimbus 2001, she immediately hopped on it with a huge smile.
"Ready, kids?" Asked Nymphadora and then they all pushed from the ground and flew away.
