Though Hermione eventually joined the Weasleys and Harry at St. Mungo's, Arleigh thought it would've been best if she didn't go and stayed there at Hogwarts. She hadn't really spoken to Alexis or Draco since that Quidditch match against Gryffindor, however she knew she might be overreacting a little bit about it. Alex was simply rooting for her boyfriend's idea, while her so said boyfriend tried to hit on her best friend.
On the other hand, Ghaya and Leigh still kept in touch and met several times a day, the metamorphmagus was the only one who was told of the cobalt eyed witch's feelings for the chosen one. She was the only one Arleigh felt comfortable with enough to spill all about her new found attraction for Potter.
"I just cannot understand how I managed to actually fancy him, G" she sighed and lay on the soft grass of the courtyard near the lake, "He is just...he's so bloody..Argh!"
Ghaya giggled at her best friend and caressed her shoulder.
"That is just how it is, Leigh" muttered the green eyed, "You can't possibly choose who you fall for"
Leigh widened her eyes and stood up quickly.
"I am not falling for him! It's simply a little-"
"-It is not simply a crush, Leigh" Clarance cut her off, "We both know that, love. You should just live with it"
The Granger let out an heavy sigh and seated on the ground again, bringing her knees to her chest and embracing them.
"You see, that's the problem...he doesn't fancy me, nor will he ever" her eyes formed a frown.
"You cannot possibly know that! You should at least-"
"No, I'm too scared to even try, Ghaya" murmured Leigh, cutting her friend short, "Besides, he fancies that ravenclaw"
"You know, there is a word that describes your fear, it's Philophobia" pointed out the dark haired with a slight smirk
"No, I am not frightened to fall in love, G." Inhaled and exhaled the muggleborn, "It is called Agliophobia"
"That I've never heard of"
"The fear of getting hurt, that one is"
As the metamorphmagus was about to respond, professor Severus Snape rushed to the two of them, looking rather more stressed than usual.
"Dumbledore wants to see you, Miss Granger," he slowly bellowed, "it seems important"
Arleigh nodded her head quickly, waving at her friend and storming away towards the headmaster's office. She was used to being called in from Albus and hoped it was good news from Mr Weasley and nothing bad, hopefully.
Her shaky hand knocked at the door and it immediately yanked open.
"Hello, Miss Granger," politely grinned Dumbledore, "please, have a sit"
The teen nodded and seated on one the chairs opposite the wizard's desk.
The headmaster let an heavy sigh escape his wrinkled lips.
"I presume you're hoping to hear good news, Arleigh" he began and she nodded her head again, "I can't do that, I'm afraid"
"What do you mean? Is Mr Weasley-"
"Oh no, don't you worry about him, he's recovering. Who is more...well, in danger is Harry" he cut her off, "Now, I do not want to hear why you two were together that night, but I must ask you exactly what happened from when he fell asleep"
Leigh rubbed her temples as she tried to remember everything that had happened that night and eventually sighed.
"He fell asleep almost immediately and he soon began sweating an-and growling under his breath. I, of course, stayed awake and thank Merlin I did. He would shift uncontrollably and..and then he suddenly opened his eyes.." the witch inhaled shakily, "I first thought he was awake but then I noticed that h-his pupils had vanished..his eyes were completely white and then I immediately called for McGonagall"
Arleigh caressed her own arm out of frustration as she felt chills running down her spine.
"What does it have to do with anything, sir?" She questioned
"Arleigh, there are some things that are better left untold" Albus gave her gentle grin, though it didn't reach his eyes like it used to, "However, it is my duty to ask you to join the rest of your friends at Grimmauld place, in order to help Harry"
"Ho-how could my presence there help Harry?" Confused the Granger, gaining a gentle smile from her headmaster
"Harry has grown to rely on you, Miss Granger, after last year and he trusts you more than anyone else" the usual twinkle of his blue eyes returned, "You're the only one that can help him through it"
The cobalt eyed witch forced herself to suppress a smile from forming on her dry lips and she nodded her head once more.
"Alright, then" she replied
