The following day arrived faster than Arleigh wanted it to, and it also meant that she had detention with Potter and their beloved DADA professor.
The two teens had decided to go there together and therefore met each other before the toad's office.
"Shall we?" Motioned Harry, bowing slightly
"Yes, we shall"
The duo knocked on the wooden door, which magically yanked open right after their fingers touched it. The office was obviously and hideously pink and had a big amount of plates, picturing little kittens, all around the walls.
"Mr Potter, Miss Granger," faked a sheepish grin Dolores and addressed the two chairs and desks opposite hers, "sit down"
Arleigh cleared her throat awkwardly and seated at one of the desks, not once in four years had she ever felt that intimidated by a professor or detention, which made her blood boil.
"You're both going to be doing lines tonight," stood up Umbridge, holding two blood-red quills, "using these quills"
The two students gripped a quill each and shared a worried look, there is no way this is it.
"You will write: I must not tell lies. Until I tell you to stop, understand?"
"There's no ink, professor" spoke Leigh, trying her best to not glare at the pink lady
"Oh," chuckled the oldest among them, "you won't need ink"
The Granger sighed and pulled out a piece of parchment, ready to start writing while that toad kept her eyes fixed on the duo. Arleigh then began to write what they were told, just as she scrambled the quill on the parchment, her left hand started itching, which eventually turned into pain. Her glance drifted to her left hand, which was lying on the table, her skin was wounded and bruised as the words "I must not tell lies" carved on it and healed. On the parchment, the line she had been writing was a blood-red color, it was indeed blood and it was her own. This bitch, thought Leigh and narrowed her eyes at Umbridge, who gave her an innocent smile.
"Yes, Miss Granger?"
Arleigh groaned and got back to her lines, she could feel a few drops of blood streaming down her hand and soiled the desk, ending eventually on the floor.

Arleigh had already filled two full rows of parchment and her hand was not healing anymore, it simply stopped trying and let the blood flow out. She successfully hid her pain behind an emotionless expression, though Harry wasn't really as good as her, since it was also worrying her.
"That's enough for this evening." Spoke Dolores, sitting back on her seat, "Same time, tomorrow, we'll see if we can get the message to sink in a bit deeper"
"Make sure to clean our blood, professor," sighed Leigh and clicked her tongue as she gathered her stuff, "wouldn't want anyone acknowledging about the truth, but I'm sure the Minister taught you well"
The Granger witch faked a grin and left the office, with Potter trailing right after her, they both heard the woman in pink dropping her cup of tea and shattering it on the floor.
"Are you alright?" Concerned the light brown haired once the duo reached the top of the Astronomy tower, and then gripped his wounded hand.
Harry grinned slightly at her worry and caressed the hand that held into his injured one.
"I'm fine, Leigh." Replied softly the boy who lived, "You don't have to worry this much"
The raven haired moved his free hand near her face and tucked a stray of her light brown hair behind her ear, while a soft smile appeared on his thin lips. His eyes never left hers and sometimes traveled in general around her pale face, causing Arleigh to furrow her eyebrows in confusion. What the bloody hell is happening? She questioned herself
"What?" She suddenly found herself saying, snapping Harry out of his trance.
Potter was quite at lost of words, himself didn't understand why he was staring at her for so long, nor why did he feel his stomach twisting when their eyes met. Merlin if she's beautiful, he thought and then shook his head.
"S-sorry" he awkwardly chuckled, making Leigh grin a little at how red Harry became.
"It's quite alright" she murmured and cleared her throat, causing the both of them to pull away from each other.
It was already late and they both missed dinner, of course, though neither of them was hungry after that experience with the toad.
An heavy sigh escaped the witch's lips and her glance drifted to her hand, dirty from all her blood stains.
"I told you she would've tortured us" forced a smirk Arleigh and then stood up right after.
The boy forced as well a giggle and also got up with her, approaching her. Harry gripped into her wounded hand gently, careful to not hurt her, and pressed a quick kiss on it.
"I'll see you tomorrow at detention, then" he smiled and immediately left before she could say anything back.
Leigh felt her cheeks shifting to a crimson red, while her heart skipped a beat. Her eyes widened as she realized what those two actions might have meant. Nope, not going to happen.
She shook her head and jogged to her common room, thinking about anything but that very evening.
