I couldn't hear anything. Couldn't see anything. My body moved up and down to the rhythm of the water. I didnt want to open my burning eyes. Sloshing rang in my ears. My head hurt insane amounts. I heard yelling and screaming, until I could suddenly hear no more, over the roar of something above me. I forced myself to open my eyes just a bit, and looked up. I saw a man, lowering himself down onto a rope latter? I think, I couldnt really tell. I discovered the noise was coming from a helicopter, hovering above me. I looked down, and very faintly saw the shore. I giggled, loopy, as the people on the shore looked like tiny lines.

"Alright, come here honey." The man's voice softly said, gently reaching down to grab me. He held onto the ladder with one hand, offering me his other. I slowly grabbed it, groaning as I did so. Everything hurt. We made our way up to the loud noise, and I squirmed, uncomfortable.

"Hurts.. my ears.." I said, barely whispering.

"I know sweetheart. You've been out here a while, almost two days. You're hungry and delusional." the nice man said, gently laying me down on the helicopter floor. He tried giving me food as we flew towards land, but I only managed to get out,

"Find..charlie." Before collapsing.

There was a lot of white light, and it hurt to open my eyes. I heard a faint beeping noise, and looked next to me to see machine.

"Where'm I at?" I groggily asked.

"She's awake." Someone yelled, signaling another someone to come over.

"You're at the hospital baby." A nice African-American lady with a white hat said.

"Who're you?"

"I'm a nurse honey. Now rest, you had a lot of water in your lungs. It's a darn good miracle you're alive."

I did as she said, and fell back into a deep sleep.

I groaned, waking up once again to shining white light.

"Y/n baby."

I was thrown back against my pillow as my mother attacked me. She drew back and cupped my face in her hands, crying.

"You're ok."

"I'm ok momma." I whispered, and hugged her. Next was my dad, who was also crying, and then Wes.

"I dont know what I would have done without my favorite sister." He smiled through tears.

"I love you, come here." I ordered softly, and he broke into light sobs as I hugged him. Once the hugging fest was over, I asked the question I was most curious, yet terrified to know.

"Where is he?" I whispered. My mom looked at my dad.

"Mom, where is Charlie?" I asked more sternly.

"I'm here."

A worn down looking Charlie made his way through my hospital door, held up by two nurses.

"He wouldn't listen, this boy." The African-American nurse that had spoke to me earlier, said. "He's a stubborn one. 'No, I need to see her now!'" She mimicked Charlie. They led him over to my bed, and helped him climb up.

"I'm so, sorry." He whispered to me. "Its all my fault." He looked from me to my family with tears in his eyes.

"No, Charlie, honey it's no one's fault." My mom softly walked over to give him a light hug. She looked at my dad and brother, who got up and walked out, followed by the nurses.

"I shouldn't have let you go in there." He whispered.

"Hey, it's ok. It's not your fault Charlie I promise." I whispered, intertwining our fingers together. He nodded, and I laid my head on his shoulder. I felt him rest his head on mine, while he absentmindedly rubbed his thumb on my hand. We fell asleep like that for who knows how long, but I just remember thinking over and over, "it's ok, he's ok."
