Six- Sophia

​"Uh, Hey Soph."

​No way. No fucking way am I looking at Logan Parker right now. Here in New York City. He is literally just standing there in the doorway staring at me with the same dreamy gray eyes I remember from all those years ago. I always got lost staring into them because they were just so mesmerizing. Wow. The years have done him good. Damn good. I can't seem to stop staring at him. Oh my god, stop it Sophia! Say something back already! Fuck, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to form a sentence right now.

​"Hi, Logan," I stutter. Oh yea, real smooth Soph. I mentally face palm myself. I shake my head a little bit. "It's been awhile." That last part comes out more confidently. I now realize we are just standing there looking at each other for what seems like forever. I hear a throat being cleared, which thankfully breaks the trance that I found myself in.

"Oh, I guess you guys know each other?" Noah cuts in curiously. I look at him quickly and then back towards Logan, wondering if he is going to answer the question. I quickly decide to answer instead, "Yea we actually went to high school together." Not a complete lie, technically. The group doesn't need to know our entire past.

​Logan narrows his eyes towards me but doesn't give anything else away. "Yea, it's definitely been awhile. Nice to see ya, Soph." He smirks as he walks over to the seat next to Noah, knowing that we are leaving out so much more information.

"What a small world! This should make working together even easier since you two are already acquainted!" Noah exclaims. Ha! Oh yea... this will definitely make everything sooooooo much easier, I sarcastically think to myself. I smile and nod at his comment though, hoping that I don't give away the fact that I am literally freaking out inside.

​"Well, should we get started then?" I ask the group. I can feel the stares from Gianna and Charlotte. Ugh, I will definitely have to explain myself later to them. They probably aren't buying my story at all. We all take our seats at their round table. I keep my eyes forward looking at Noah as he starts to talk, trying to not notice Logan's eyes still on me.

​Thankfully, Gianna takes initial control of the discussion with Noah. I jot down a few of the points they are discussing, but I'm honestly surprised I can even pay attention to them right now. I really need to get my head back into this and not pay any mind to Logan. I am a professional god damnit!

​"Noah, what type of environment are you looking to host this event in? Nightclub? Penthouse? Ballroom? Something else?" I say as I internally decide to put my big girl pants back on. He purses his lips and lightly rubs his chin in thought. "I was thinking maybe a nightclub- I want it to be some place that has a cool vibe. Somewhere that people can truly let loose. We will have a lot of famous guests attending, so it has to be a showstopper. Red carpet set up outside for photo ops, and some amazing music being played." Well, he definitely thought this through more than I thought he would've.

​"Logan and I just went to The Marquee this weekend. What about there? It had a cool vibe, and they seem to have some good DJs there. Could be perfect for what you want, Noah." Liam pipes in. I've been to that club. It definitely can be a showstopper... Liam is not wrong at all. Noah looks at me, "Do you think that would be a good choice Sophia?"

"Yea, that club would be a good option to look into. We may just have an issue with them hosting their own New Year's Eve event, so we would have to check on that. But we are planning this far enough ahead of time, so they may open to us hosting there for the right price." I then start to wonder what their budget will actually be.

​"Oh, money is not a problem at all. Whatever the price is to have them hand over their club to us for the evening is fine by me," he says as smiles widely. Well damn, okay. I laugh at his comment, "Okay, well in that case, we will call them tomorrow to check on that availability!"
