A/N Eliza Jr. is in this part and for simplicity, I will be referring to her as Little Eliza so you don't mix them up.

It had been about a month since Alex had died and even though everything looked the same, nothing was the same.

"Mommy," Little Eliza asked, "when's Daddy coming home? He's never been away for so long."

Poor baby, Eliza thought, she doesn't understand.

"I'm sorry sweetie," Eliza began, "but he isn't coming back."

"H-he left us?" Little Eliza asked, not understanding why he would abandon them.

"No, Eliza, he didn't leave us. He would still be here if he could, but he can't," Eliza explained.

Little Eliza didn't understand this answer, "Why can't he?"

"Well, sometimes things happen, and people can't come back."

"What happened to him."

Eliza found it hard to hold back her tears, but she had to be strong for Little Eliza, "He got hurt, really bad. And now he can't come back home."

"Oh, okay. Then we'll visit him," Little Eliza said as if it was the perfect solution.

"We can't visit him, sweetie."

"But he'll get lonely if no one visits him and he can't come home," Little Eliza told her mom.

"Don't worry, he's not lonely. He has your older brother and his mom to keep him company," Eliza reassured Little Eliza.

Little Eliza smiled. "So I get to meet his mommy! Wait, but why does Alexander get to visit him but I can't?"

"Alexander doesn't get to visit him either. I'm talking about your oldest brother, Phillip. You don't remember him, but he's with your dad."

"Where are they that I can't do?"

"That's . . . hard to explain. It's getting late, how about you go get ready for bed and I'll answer your questions tomorrow."

"Okay, Mommy," Little Eliza went to go put on her nightgown.

Eliza was walking to her room when for a split second she could have sworn she saw Alex sitting in his office.

She walked over to where he would have been sitting and broke down.

She couldn't handle it. Phillip and Alexander both died in the same way. It was as if their ghosts still roamed the house, tormenting her.
