If you haven't read Obsession or Obsession pt. Deux you may not be familiar with Eros Vampires. Here is some background.
Eros vampires feed on sexual energy.
Some are psychic and only pull sexual energy mentally. These vampires can feed without being detected. A stare or smile can elicit a sexual response. This vampire can give an orgasm just by gazing in your direction. When you climax, they feed on your energy.

Some are only physical, and pull by actual sexual activity. These vampires are skilled lovers. They tend to feed often and with many partners. The 'vamp tramps' are always willing to be donors. There are even clubs and apps dedicated to matching Eros vampires with willing donors. Many work in the sex entertainment industry.
Then there are Sovereign vampires. They can feed both ways. These vampires are usually born from parents who are soulmates. It's rare, most Eros vampires search their whole lives and never find their soulmate.
Sovereign vampires can also pick up on anyone's energy, vampire or not, and can control it. They also have the ability to block their own energy to keep other vampires from pulling psychically. They can also give off negative energy.
Laurent and Papillon are both Sovereign.
