Laurent POV

I open the suite door and run directly into Aria. She just shakes her head and steps aside.

"Why are you here Laurent? Larry nixed breakfast."

I was wrong about us.

"Wait ... did you even try?"

What to try? They marked you know, I feel it on my brother. I feel it on both of them. I not even care anymore.

"Laurent ...

She take my hand and sit next to me on couch.

... you can not give up so easy. Maybe just ... try again."

No Ari, Larry won. She his.

"Laurent ... wait a minute."

She go in the other room.

I feel Papillon, she looking for me. I try to block her, but little bits coming in. My brother seem glad I gone. That no real surprise. Aria taking a long time, so I go to take a shower. I still exhausted.

I need sleep.

'Lau, why did you leave?'

'Papillon?'

'Yes, why did you leave?'

'Because you no want me there. I heard you ... know what you do.'

'Lau, I can't help what's happening ...'

'I know. It for the best.'

'Laurent ... please.'

I try to block her, but can't. I just not respond anymore. I finish and go lie down, a little later I feel Aria get in bed next to me. She lay her head on my chest.

"Get some rest, you're wound too tight."

I sigh.

Where you go so long?

"I had to cancel plans, I'm staying with you."

Merci.

"Everything will work out Laurent."

You a good friend Aria.

She sit back up on the bed and pat her leg.

I move and put my head on her lap. Aria rub my neck.

I close my eyes, but I stay awake ... thinking about Papillon. She try not to think about me.

I feel my brother on her.

She not know it yet, and Aria not believe either, but I do.

It over.






-MONTHS LATER-

Larry stayed with Papillon for the remainder of her break, and for an extra week after. They relaxed into each other so easily. There was no effort, like they had been together their whole lives.

It's cliché, but they even finished each other's sentences.

Papillon completed the school year, plus the Summer, Fall and Winter sessions in Paris with Larry visiting often. He always planned amazing getaways for them. They spent Christmas skiing in Val D'Isère and New Year's Eve in Monaco. He even flew her parents into Capri for her Father's birthday.

They love him. Her friends love him. She loves him.

Now it's time to go back to Georgia.
