Mia's POV

"Get me a fucking doctor!" 2 security guards of mine helped Killian inside the house. He could barely walk with one of the bullet inside of him. He barely dodged the second bullet inside the nightclub.

It was all my fault. If only I heard them. If only I dodged quicker, and then Killian wouldn't be here lying on the hospital bed. I was too stuck up with flirty with Clark, they took their chance. But that was a big mistake. He led me into a trap. He knew I was coming, and he purposely led me into a trap.

How could I been so stupid! I thought he was somewhat okay, but he's like every men out there. Lying piece of assholes.

A personal doctor came in right away. She pushed me out the room, and I had little patient to be told what to do. But I stayed where I was. Pacing outside the room, I didn't hear Maria approach me.

"He's going to be alright, Miss. He is a strong young man, with a strong woman beside him," she reassured me, gently rubbing my shoulder. "Don't worry yourself too much. He will fight it."

I forced a low laugh. "Thank you Maria. Could you get me a glass of water?"

"Of course, Miss."As she leaves, the door to the medic room. The woman leaves telling me he was alright. Thankfully he was wearing a bullet proof jacket. I let out a sigh of relief, entering the room. "Thank you for your help. You are dismiss."

Killian laid on one of the beds, his face slightly pale, though he stayed awake. Sitting down on the chair next to him, I gave him a weak smile.

"You really had to do that to me," I choked out. I grasp his hands with mine, as he rubs the back of his.

"One of my specialty, love," he attempts to crack a joke, only for him to start coughing. I abruptly stood up.

"What's wrong?" I quickly asked, concerned. "Do you need anything?"

He chuckles, shaking his head. "A gun will do." I lightly slap him on the shoulder, watching him settle down. "How are you feeling?"

I choke out a laugh, shaking my head. "I should be asking you that. Don't ever fucking do that to me."

"I was only doing my job." I felt a tang of hurt inside of me. I'm glad he protected me, but him saying he only protected me because of a job he was assign to do, didn't make me feel good. He must of saw change of my face, but showed nothing.

Forcing a small smile, I pretended to be fine. "Do you need anything else, before I make a quick call?"

"No. Go ahead." Giving his hand one last squeeze, I push myself up the chair, and exit the room, but not before saying, "Thank you."

✈︎✈︎✈︎

I visited Killian every hour, seeing if he was alright. I talked to my father about the incident, as well as the information we got. He doubled the security guard, and sent our way.

He screamed through the phone, demanding who was responsible for all of this. He orders several men's to keep their distance, but still watch out for any suspicions.

I talked to Adam. He tried to lighten up the mood. He even thanked Killian for saving my life, which was the first not having him yell through the phone.
