Killian's POV
Time seem to slow down. Every second that ticked by, I seem to be losing it. Watching Mia and that guy flirt during dinner, had me urging to reach across the table and snap his neck with my bare hands.
I didn't know what to do but try to avert my eyes elsewhere. But, their voices would ring in my ear, turning my head to see what they were taking about. Knowing Spanish gave me the advantage to know what they were saying, and disadvantage that I wish I didn't.
I couldn't be more happy when Michael finally gave both of us permission to talk to eachother, but I should of guessed it would be more difficult that I sought it to be.
I'm going to do whatever it takes for Mia to forgive me, even if it means killing the guy across from me, from doing so.
I was surprised she still wore the locket I gifted her. I couldn't have imagine the emotions she felt during the time I spent ignoring her. Thinking back to all that, made me wished I could take it al back.
Minutes passed and my anger was not subsiding.
"Stop being gloomy, will ya." Aaron jabbed me in the neck, making me glare at him. "You were asking for it," he stated. "He's leaving tomorrow, so give her a break. She's been going through a hard time already. She doesn't need you acting like an asshole, which I remind you, you are."
"Don't I think I know that already," I hissed. "I'm just... looking out for her."
He scoffs, shoving a steak in his mouth. "Have you ever realise how much bullshit comes out of that pretty mouth of yours." I roll my eyes, ignoring him, but he continues. "I'm just looking out for her. I missed you. You're everything to me. I love you," he copied with sarcasm lacing through his words. "That my friend is bullshit. You say you care about her, but look where that got you."
"He does have a point, Killian," joined Leia, waving her fork around. "We're just trying to look out for her, including your sorry ass."
"I don't need your help."
"Oh well, I tried." Leia lean back in her chair, sipping her drink.
"Don't ruin your last chance in getting her back, because I can tell you now..." Giving Mia a glance, a small smile formed across his face, glancing back at me. "Whatever you do to break her trust, she will never forgive you."
Glancing back at Mia, she still was having her conversation with the guy. They might be right. They were right. If I fuck up on trying to get to forgive me, she wouldn't have to think twice in kicking my ass and never looking at my direction.
Things changed that day. It was all my fault. Maybe if we were careful enough to hide whatever relationship we had, no me would have never known. But, I knew it would have eventually gotten out, whether we liked it or not.
"¡No lo hiciste! Nunca esperé que fueras del tipo de chico malo," Mia teased. Watching them interact with one another makes me sick to my stomach.
If it wasn't for Joanna, I don't know if I could of controlled myself from snapping his neck that very minute. I unclenched my fist beneath the table, as everyone finished off and headed in their own way.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Mia headed upstairs to her bedroom, without that bastard following her like a lost puppy.
