Killian's POV

"The papers have been signed, but I need your words," Michale says from his desk. My father and I are currently sat in his office, hearing all his rules for being a bodyguard for his daughter. "Do you promise to protect my daughter at all cost?"

"Yes sir."

"You better not make me regret my decision, because if I find any scratches on my daughter, I will hunt you down, and kill you with my bare hands," he threatens. The venom in his voice tells me enough. He cares deeply for his daughter.

"My son won't let you down my fiend," my dad assured him, though we both know something bad will happen.

The only reason I had accepted this, was because I owed my father. He took this opportunity by repaying Michael, by making me a bodyguard.

I have killed hundreds, yet thousands of men, and judging by my skill, one wrong step and you're dead. If it weren't for my brother, Aaron, I would have never accepted this. He was the next heir to the Mafia, and he has been in and out of the countries following my fathers rules. I have not had the opportunity to see him in over 5 months.

My brother and father are very similar. They kill anyone that makes one wrong move, vengeance and money. During my childhood, Aaron had always hated him, to an idea I have none. Years started to pass, and he would accidentally attempt to throw a knife though my head, or continue to fight me when the practise was over.

I was the better fighter, though he had the brains. He was smart for his age, but that didn't take me long enough to catch up.

"You will start tomorrow," Michale informs me, handing me a small phone. It was one of those type of phones that couldn't be tracked easily. "I have simple rules that you must follow."

"First rule: Kill anyone that seems suspicious around you or my daughter."

"Second rule: Do. Not leave my daughters side. Wherever she goes, you follow. I don't care if you have to follow her to the toilet, I don't want her out of your sight."

"Third rule: You follow any orders from Mia, along with mine."

"Fourth, and final rule. Keep my daughter safe."

I nodded at all of his rules. I was none to judge, since he was doing his best to keep his daughter alive. I have heard about the Santell's family. They were the dangerous Mafia for a reason.

I remembered another information from papers, that I had to sign. If Mia dies, I would have the punishment to dying with her.

Mia's POV

It was finally done.

I cannot believe I will have a bodyguard following my every move. What did I do to deserve this?! Nothing

I am capable of handling myself. I don't need a bodyguard to tell me otherwise.

"Hey sis, what are you doing?" Turning my head round, Adam flops beside me on my bed. He stretches his limbs, hearing a few pops. "I'm getting old."

"Do you still think it's a good idea for me to have a bodyguard?"

He scratches his chin, pretending to think. "If what Father thinks is best, then I don't know what the problem is. If anything bad happens to you, he will pay the consequences."
