Mia POV

Pulling back my hood, I made it back home. Standing infront of the gate to the house, it suddenly opened, revealing an overly pissed Adam.

I offered a sheepish smile, joining him inside.

"You better have a good explanation to your sudden disappearance. Dads going mental inside, ordering guards to find you."

I shrugged.

"You don't even care if he killed one of them do you."

I shrugged again. "It never stopped him before. Anyway, I'm fine. See?" I give him a 360 turn. "Nothing happened expect of a sudden encounter with an old friend."

"He's gonna kill you," he warned, stepping inside.

I find several guards running around the house, weapons in hand. I couldn't help but grin. Oops?

The sound of my dads shout from the stairs brought me back. Adam was right. He had a murderous face on. He stalked towards us, guards stepping aside. They seem to blow a relief once seeing I was back and safe.

"You better have a good explanation for this, young lady. I have men looking for you."

The others were now crowded a few spaces back. Mom offered me a small smile, joining my dad. Aaron made a funny face behind my parents back causing me to stifle my laugh. It wasn't the time to joke around.

I stand my ground. My eye caught Killian standing beside the others. His face blank. As always, he avoided looking at me.

Throwing the cloak somewhere, I offered my parents a grin. "I was bored," I shrugged.

My dad sigh, a disapproving look on his face. "If you want to go anywhere, you take Killian or one of the guards. I don't want you going out by yourself without someone being with you. Understood." When I didn't respond, he repeated. "Mia, do you understand."

"I can take care of myself dad. You shouldn't worry about me," I reassured them. Especially you dad.

"Where did you go? I know you weren't bored for you to disappear," my dad says.

"Michael, leave her alone," scolded my mother, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Why don't you clean up, darling."

"No. I want to know exactly where my daughter went," he says sternly," crossing his arms. Yet again I didn't answer. I wasn't going to tell him anything. I could handle myself perfectly fine. "You're grounded."

"What?"

"If you can't follow simple instructions, I cannot trust you to go and disappear again," he replied with a final tone. "Killian, take her to her room," ordered my dad.

I gave Killian pleading eyes to snap out of it, but he didn't follow instructions from me. Instead, my father.

"No." I glared at my dad. "You can't expect me to follow your rules when your marrying me of to some psycho." I didn't regret saying that.

"Michael, what is this about?" My mother asked.

"Nothing you need to worry about, honey," my dad reassured my mom. "I advice what you say, Mia before things get worse for all of us."
