Misunderstandings And The F**K Boy

A Trip to A&E

My phone rang at 10AM, it was Perry.

"Pel" I answer still waking up.

"Yo Bro" Perry said as lively as ever.

"Who is she" I laughed down the phone at him.

"What...damn it you know me so well proper nice little bird from the other side of the water....and she's got some fit mates as well Spencer" Perrys laughs.

"Say what....you sound whipped" I reply to Perry.

"Leave off....it's just a bit of fun....seeing as you blew the party out last night what did you get up to?"Perrys asks

"Nothing man, just chilled" I replied.

"You wanna meet me and the lads for a kick about at 12?" Perry asks.

"Dunno man, I got that trial coming up can't afford to get injured" I replied.

"It's just a kick about nothing serious" Perrys states.

"Alright see you then" I reply and we both hang up.

I head over the park and catch up with the others, they tell me Lucy wasn't there but some Dancourt girl called Harriet Jacobs was asking after me....Harriet.....I don't know any Harriet but apparently she follows me on insta? Hmmm maybe I'll look her up later.  Both Jahmal and Ant look like they was cloud nine after spending most of the night at the party with Asher and Lourdes.

We was having a kickabout when Craig went in hard for a tackle, a missed timed tackle and it threw me off balance and I fell on the ground my ankle in agony.

"F**k sake Craig you p***k" I literally screamed at him whilst holding my ankle.

"Whaooo easy now" Perry said.

My ankle had ballooned and and I couldn't put any weight on it.

"Come on let's get you to A&E and get this checked over" Perrys says.

"Ah sorry Spenc, it wasn't intentional" Craig offers and I knew he felt bad.

Perry drives me to A&E and I tell him about the park and that Lucy saw me there

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?......How did you feel when you was with Chloe?" Perry asks.

"Felt nothing, I played the game but I wasn't interested, I think I've well and truly f****d any chance with Lucy now who am I kidding, you heard what Lourdes said about some Tyler I didn't have a chance to start with" I reply

"Yeah but I have never seen her about with a lad and I don't know any Tyler?" Perry offers and then continues

"Spenc can I be direct".

"Yeah man be as direct as you want" I laugh.

"You ain't been the same lately, why'd you blow out meeting at Subway and going Terry's party? Perry asks with worry in his voice, he knows me too well.

"Cos Perry I ain't nobody's mug" I say sharply.

Perry ain't stupid and gets the jist, he knows I'm in to her but she is not interested.

We get to A&E and there is a two hour wait, Perry leaves and tells me to call him when I need picking up.....two solid hours great, bored out my brain I search up this Harriet Jacobs on my insta.....mmmmm nice not bad at all I decide to DM her I can see her account is active.

"Heard you was asking after me last night"

Message straight back

"Maybe x "

"Just maybe? That's not what I heard"

"And what....maybe I know what I want x "

"Yeah and what do you want"

"HAHA isn't it obvious x "

"Depends on what you have going on in that dirty little mind of yours"

"Mmmmm wouldn't you like to know x "

"Why don't you tell me then"

"How about I show you....meet me tomorrow at the Ramblers cafe at 12 x "

"See you then Harriet, lets see if you're all talk"

"Never babe, I know what I want, I'll show you tomorrow x "

I laugh, jeez she was bold and up for whatever she could get....but then my stomach dropped, I'm still in this vicious circle.  I search up Lucy on Facebook her profile locked, but her profile picture is of her, Asher and Lourdes on a beach somewhere looking carefree and happy all with cocktails in their hands.

I call my Mum and tell her where I am and tell her not to worry.  An hour and a half had passed and I see a familiar figure walk in she turns to the side and this confirmed to me it is Lucy Cole walking up to A&E reception I see her speaking to them and they usher her straight though, I wonder what she is doing here?

Lucy had not seen me.  Another 50 minutes has now passed and I finally get called for my X-Ray nothing broken just severe bruising was told to keep the weight off my foot ice pack and I should be ok for my trial.  I call Perry and he says he will be there in 20 minutes.

I head out to the carpark to wait for him when I see Lucy but she is not on her own she is with some 6ft bloke he looks about 23ish? Is this Tyler?  I see him hug her and then kiss her tenderly on the top of her head as they say goodbye to each other.  He jumps in his car and drives off.  I see her face and she looks like she has been crying as she looks up we make eye contact she looks sad and upset, she gives me a small smile as she gets in her car and leaves the hospital car park.

Perry picks me up and I tell him about Lucy, he shakes his head and says to me

"She is clearly off limits, sorry Spenc....and you say he looks older?"

"Yeah" I reply.

"You need to leave that well alone" he says.

Perry takes me home and shoots off.  I'm in bed keeping the weight off of my ankle but I can't stop thinking about Lucy.  I decided to text her, I'm not that much of a heartless bastard and f**k Tyler.

"You Ok?"

Message read, she is typing back, well at least she didn't block my number!

"Yeah all good now, how comes you was at the hospital?"

"Nothing serious, just a kick about gone wrong"

"Haven't you got a big trial coming up?"

What wait, how did she know about that? Has she been asking around?

"Yeah hoping it will be fine by then" 

"So how comes you never went to the party last night?  

 Hang on.....why is she asking me this?

"Weren't up for it, you?

"It's complicated, listen I think it would be good if we can meet up, clear up a few things"

"You wanna meet now?"

"No I can't I'm with Tyler and we have plans but we can ALL meet tomorrow at the park say 12?"

Is this girl for real?

"Tomorrow it is then"

"See you then Spenc"

So it looks like I am meeting her and Tyler tomorrow......and yes I have totally forgotten that I am meant to be meeting Harriet!
