Misunderstandings And The F**K Boy

Meeting Mr Cole

Spencer's POV

*This is only a short chapter....building up"

We left mine and I drove Lucy to pick up Tyler from after school club.  We was heading back  to Lucy's when Tyler says to me you.

"Can you come in for a bit"

"Yeah sure but only if that's ok with you big sister" I say looking for her approval.

She smiles at me and replies.

"Of course it is"

As we get to Lucy's there is a car on the drive...

"YAY Daddy's home" Tylers says happily.

I look at her to see how she wants to play this one....

"Ready to meet my Dad?  It's cool if you just want to head off though" she says and continues "I would understand".

"Um no it's fine Luc" I reply but I swallow hard I look up and the front door is open and Mr Cole is standing  on the doorstep.  Tyler jumps out the car and runs to his Dad, whilst Lucy and I take our time to exit the car.

"Hey Dad, this is my friend Spencer" Lucy's says introducing us.

I see him look me up and down and he can probably pick up that I am a tad nervous.

Mr Cole holds his hand out to me and we shake hands.

"Nice to meet you Spencer" Mr Cole says to me putting me at ease straight away.

"You too Mr Cole" I reply.

"Please call me Robert" Mr  Cole says to me.

I smile but feel a bit awkward.

"Dad is it ok if Spencer comes in" Lucy asks

"Yes of course, I have already heard a lot about you Spencer from Tyler! Plus I wanted to meet the young man who is taking my daughter to a party tomorrow night!  Please come in" Mr Cole says

I see Lucy look at me.

"Dad is it ok if we go upstairs to my room" she asks....god this was uncomfortable but sweet, it showed Lucy had respect for Dad asking his permission.

"Yes but leave your door open ok" He says to Lucy...

"Spencer would you like to  stay for dinner" Mr Cole asks me.

"Ahh thanks for the offer but I've got a family meal tonight....something I can't get out of" I reply.

"Another time then " Mr Cole says.  He's actually alright you know....but he has probably already done a background check on me before letting me through his front door!

We head upstairs to Lucy's room.  I look round her room it's nice, grey carpet, cream walls girly trinket things on the side with beauty and hair products.....but a single bed!!!

"Sorry it's not the Ritz" she says rolling her eyes as she clocked me looking at her bed.

"Hey what....I was just thinking....how we both gonna fit in that bed?  You'll have to go on top or vice versa" I laugh teasing her.

Lucy's response was to throw a pillow at me as she says.

"Shhhhh my Dad will hear!"

My Phone rings..."MUM" flashing on the screen

"Hey Mum"

"Hi Darling, where are you?"

"I'm just at Lucy's"

"Oh ok, did you want to invite Lucy to come have dinner with us?" I repeat what my Mum has asked and repeat back to my Mum Lucy's reply.

"Thanks Mrs Jackson, that is very sweet of you, but my Dad has already made a start on dinner, thank you for the offer"

"That's a shame, tell her next time Spencer....now please hurry up and get home we have a table booked"

"Yes Mam" I reply and disconnect the call.

I turn to Lucy knowing I have to leave, I whisper so her Dad doesn't hear me.

"Listen Luc, that was amazing earlier, you are incredible....don't leave me hanging tomorrow when I ask you that question ok.....I'll call you later".

"Ok" she says smiling at me.

I give her quick kiss goodbye and we head downstairs together.

"Nice to meet you Mr Cole" I say 

"Robert, call me Robert...yes nice to meet you too and look after my princess tomorrow night ok" Mr Cole replies to me.

"Will do" I reply and smile at Lucy.

I leave Lucy's and head out to meet my family.
