Lucy's POV

*Only a short chapter....building up to The Meet*

I think Spencer might have the wrong end of the stick on a few things which I need to set him straight on and having Tyler with me will just prove that.  There was a part of me that wanted to go to that party to see what Spencer is all about.  Spencer had been giving me mixed signals blowing hot and cold, but I never went to the party, that would not of been fair on Tyler.

It was sweet of Spencer to text me after he has seen me at the hospital, this is what I just don't get about him.

It had been a long tiring day.  I fixed me and Tyler some food and then we watched a movie.  I couldn't get Spencer off of my mind.  I was quiet looking forward to seeing him in a weird sort of way.  The text message exchange had been a nice one for once, no feuding, no swearing at each other, no digging each other out and no sarcastic comments.  My head was mashed why was I thinking about him?  I look down at Tyler who has fallen asleep his head in my lap I reach down and gently kiss him on the top of his head.

Maybe tomorrow I will get to buy Spencer that long overdue coffee let me see if I can get him to put his cards on the table and see if he opens up and tells me what is really going on.   I don't know how I fall asleep but I do in the most uncomfortable position ever.

I heard the key go in the door and it wakes me up, it was 07:30AM and my Dad had just got home from his night shift.

"Morning Princess"

I heard my Dad say.  I gently get up from the sofa not wanting to wake Tyler.  We both quietly walked to the kitchen.

"Do you want some coffee and breakfast Dad" I ask.

My Dad walked over and smiled at me.  He reached in and kissed my cheek.

"Yes please princess that would be lovely, I am just going to have a shower, that was a long shift last night" He replies

My Dad was a serving officer in the MET police, he was quite high up.  He never really spoke much about his work I think it was harrowing and tough at times.  I knew when he was working on a tough case because he would work longer hours and become even more protective over me.  He would always reinforce to me, Asher and Lourdes to always stay together, to always get a cab together, not to get in a drunken state and to not be too trusting.  This did make me laugh a bit, I knew he meant well but I didn't go out partying!

My Dad comes down just as I'm to plate up our breakfast, Sausage, egg and bacon with some toast on the side. We munch on our breakfast in silence, I think we was both starving.  I had put a plate aside for Tyler for when he wakes.

"That was just what I needed, thank you Lucy.  So what is on the agenda today then" My Dad asked.  It was Sunday and I knew he wanted to visit my Grandmother.

"Me and Tyler are going to head out later" I tell him.

"OK" he said and continued

"I am going to visit your Grandmother later, make sure she is ok, settled.  Hopefully find out when they will let her home.  I am going to head off to bed now sweetheart.  If I do not see you later make sure you call me ok.  Love you"

"Love you too Dad"

I tidy up the kitchen and I hear Tyler waking up.  I leave Tyler to his breakfast whilst I shower and get changed.

Me and Tyler go and visit my Mum briefly and we get to the park for 11.30AM.
