Day: 14 "What?! A date? "

Faith:

Today yet again, me and Cassie are supposed to hang out.

She wanted to explore the town area a little bit more and I didn't deny it since I too wanted to walk around and see how this place has changed.

I got up in the morning and dressed up, did my hair nicely and ate a good breakfast.

Cassie too was getting ready after breakfast, doing her makeup and all. I barely put on anything other than a light gloss because someone -whos name shall not enter my mind- had once told me that I didn't look good with makeup and I was a natural beauty.

I watch as she puts on a classy red lipstick. Jeez we are just going to roam around and not actually to a party.

"Are you done yet? "I ask bored.

"Almost.. "She look at the mirror and smiles. "Oh, you lookin good today Cass! " She compliments herself.

I roll my eyes and fight the cold and make our way downtown.

Yeah and that's basically it. We walk around town. I got so tired that at one point I thought I saw the name, 'Toy's R us' but it was a misunderstanding. Ah. The good'ol days.

But anyways, Cassie has dragged me into a restaurant and managed to convince me to stay there with her because she wants me to meet someone.

We wait for a while until a boy comes up to us and Cassie hugs him and greets him.

He is about 6 feet tall with a black leather jacket over his white shirt and some washed out pants.

"Hey, nice to meet you. "He puts his hand out for me to shake and smiles. His voice isn't that deep but it's alright.

"Hi. " I smile and shake his hand.

"Oh Fai! This is my old friend, James. And James this is Faith. " Cassie introduces us.

I awkwardly nod and chuckle.

"Mind if I sit here? " He points to the seat beside me. I think for a while before saying 'of course not. '

What? He asked if I minded it and I don't and perhaps I don't want to be rude.

He kept trying to make conversations with me but I am too shy to continue it.

"Cassie, I need to go to the bathroom, come with me? " I give her a look which says, 'I need to ask you something. '

"Sure. We'll be right back. " We walk to the bathroom.

Right as we enter I turn to her before exploding her with questions.

"Who is he? Why is he here? What is he doing? Why did he want to sit beside me? Why did you invite him? Did you know he was coming? Why is he so tall? Why is his voice like that? What does he want? And lastly, why do some people think that the earth is flat?! " I blurt out all the questions. And some of them aren't even related.

"Oh my god. I don't know the last questions answer but.. "She trails off.

"Yeah, but? "

"It's a date. " She sighs.

"What?! A date? " I shriek.

"Yes, I knew you wouldn't agree but you have to move on from your childhood love Fai. And this was the only way." She says.

"But-" I say before taking a deep breath. "Do you see how I'm dressed? " I say as I look in the mirror.

"Sorry.. " She mumbles.

"It's fine. But aren't you third wheeling?" I ask in confusion because she isn't the type of girl that has patience to third wheel.

"Well, you see. " She says before her phone rang and she told me to go.

I put on a smile as I walk out.

It's a date. Remember that Faith.

Just a one time date.
