Christmas In California

Day: 17 "Just a misunderstanding"

Faith:

I vow to never ever cook again.

Why? One, I almost burned the house down that day.

And two, I yet again almost burned down the house today.

How did it happen? Me and Cassie were cooking and I forgot that I had the stove turned on and then we just left. After that, BOOM. Fire!

Luckily, Cassie was there and she helped me.

What is it with me and the kitchen?

Why do I keep almost burning it.

Anyways, this time I didn't get injured or hurt anywhere.

"You should have been more careful Fai.. " Cassie scolds me.

"You don't just leave the stove on. " She has been lecturing me for the last 30 minutes.

"Jesus. Nothing happened. Calm down woman. " I roll my eyes.

"What ever. Listen, right now I'm hot and hungry so we are going somewhere but this place. "She says annoyed.

"Alright. Alright. " I stand up and go to the closet to get dressed.

Once I'm ready, I see her searching through my vanity for something.

"You won't find anything. I don't use makeup or anything. "I roll my eyes.

"Yeah I know, but what is this? "She points to one of the pictures on the mirror.

It was a picture of me and Ryker alone with my and his family.

"I-I don't know how it got there. "I take the picture off and throw it in my jewellery box.

"Okay whatever. Let's go. "She drags me out of my room.

I follow her as she makes her way to Ryker's house.

"what. Why are we going to his? " I whine. I really don't wanna see him.

Or I just don't wanna see him and Cassie as a couple.

"Well, he's going with us. Duh. "She rolls her eyes.

"Please. You both go. I don't want to a third wheel. " I reason out.

She doesn't respond instead rolls her eyes.

"Please, Cassandra. "I plead.

"Now that you called me that, definitely no.. "She frowns.

She hated that name ever since we met. That's why she always said her name was Cassie. And that is also why she tells people to call her Cass.

I sigh knowing there is no way out of this.

She rings his doorbell and right when he opens the door she hugs him and mumbles lovey dovey words. He too whispers them to her.

My nose scrunches up at this sight and I clear my throat.

"look the other way Fai. " Cassie says still in Ryker's arms.

I groan and turn around looking at the empty street.

"Okay done. " I turn around and roll my eyes.

Yay can't wait to third wheel.

We went to a cafe where Cassie really wanted to visit ever since she saw someone famous go to it.

We settled down in one of the booths. Cassie and Ryker were on front of me. They kept doing touching and flirting with each other making me hella awkward and uncomfortable. Every time they were about to kiss I would just go to the bathroom. Until I eventually stopped when I started getting weird stares.
