Christmas In California

Day: 15 "A double date.."

Faith:

Now that I have been enlighten that this is a date, I actually try to have a conversation with him.

He's actually quite nice. He is also a quiet person like me and he is studying to be a vet. Automatically some points added.

I laugh as he tells me stories about Cassie when she was younger and how he poured water all over her and she hit him with a bucket.

"I got so many bruises after that. " He finishes.

"Damn, Cass never told me these. " I take a break from laughing.

Cassie comes back but not alone...

What the fuck. She's with Ryker.

"James, Meet my date. Ryker. " She introduces.

I stare at Cassie with a confused look and she texts me that she'll tell me later. I nod and put my attention back on James.

We all settle down and the waitress comes to take our order. I wasn't hungry at this point so I just got some water. We all talked and talked. And by we all I meant, Ryker, Cassie and James.

James kept trying to include me but I really wasn't interested.

"Faith, I think I'm gonna go home with Ryker and you go with James. " Now drunk, Cassie says.

"What.. Cass-" I say but she cuts me off by waving her hand in front of me.

"I said, I am going to Ryker's house and you go back home with James or something. I'm an adult. " She is about to fall when Ryker catches her.

"I got her, you go home. " He also says.

I nod and turn towards James.

"Yeah, I can drop you off. " He smiles.

"Thank you. " I nod and wave Cassie a goodbye before leaving with James.

He opens the passenger door for me and I sit in. He then closes the door and runs to the drivers seat. I put my seat belt on and he does the same and then starts the engine. I tell him my address and he nods.

Through out the ride, we talk and laugh and I got to know even more about him. We exchange phone numbers and become friends.

We arrive at Amy's and he goes out and opens my door before I can.

"Thank you. " I smile.

"You're welcome. M'lady. " He bows and smiles making me chuckle.

"I had a great time, maybe we can hang out again. " I say with actual honesty.

"I would love to hang out with you again. " He smiles.

"Well, catch us later. Goodnight bye. " I wave him.

"Good night. " He goes back into his car and waits for me to go inside. I run to my room to see him drive off.

I smile and change my clothes. Wow it went better than I expected. I'm glad he wants to hang out again. Not many people do that with me. After all, I'm a disappointment.

I sigh as I lay on my bed.

I just had a double date with Ryker. Ugh. I mean like technically.

I shut my lamp and brain and fall into deep sleep.

Oof. Sorry for short chapters. I really need to catch up on the ones I missed since I'm dumb. I can at least write one chapter a day.
