Faith:
The next day I woke up with a smile on my face.
Today is going to be a good day.
I stand up from my vanity and call Cassie. I haven't heard of her since last night.
She doesn't pick up instead I hear the doorbell.
I head downstairs and open the door to reveal a Cassie with a broad smile.
She takes my hand and starts jumping excitedly before I could even say hi.
"Fai, Fai Fai! "She squeals.
"Huh? Yes Cassie. "I ask looking at her in confusion.
"I did it. I did it! " She grins.
"What? " I ask still confused.
"I asked him out. I did it! " She stops jumping and looks at me in the eyes.
"I asked Ryker to be my boyfriend! " and there I froze.
"W-what? "I ask.
"Yes! He agreed to be my boyfriend. Now I'm no longer single. " She grins.
"O-Oh... "I feel a pain go through my chest.
"Good for you, Cass. " I tell her.
"I'm so happy! " She let's go of my hands and swirls around.
"I have a date today, therefore I must go and get ready. "She says in a fancy British accent and walks past me. While I stand there, staring at the now closed door.
That means, Ryker is Cassie's boyfriend. My best friend is dating my crush! I mean childhood crush.
Yep. I don't care at all.
Sarcasm intended.
I go towards the counter stool and sit on it.
With my hand in my hand, leaning on the counter, I think about how I could have just told her and maybe this wouldn't have happened.
Ugh.
Shit . I'm being selfish again.
Look, if she's happy it's okay. She's happy I'm happy.
I have no right to say anything.
Even Ryker himself agreed to it. Therefore that itself gives me no right at all to say a thing.
I watch as Cassie comes back down with a floral dress and her hair curled and makeup done beautifully, wearing heels.
"Wow. You look amazing. " I smile.
"I know. I always look good. " She laughs. I nod and chuckle.
"Well, I gotta go. Bye Fai. " She waves and leaves the house.
I groan as I sit on the stair's step. I put my hands on my knees and face in my hands.
What just happened.
Ryker and Cassie are dating. Okay. Wow. That was super quick.
