Gomer and Sam told Andy about the criminals' escape.
"You two better act fast because, Sam, they're headed to where you're staying" said Andy.
"Good thing my guys aren't there. How did those guys escape?" Sam said.
"Not on their own. the office has maximum security. Probably people playing jokes" said Gomer.
"Wait!" Sam shouted.
"What's e matter?" said Gomer.
"Murray. He doesn't know" Sam said.
Gomer and Sam hurried back to where the kids were staying.
"Stay here. I'll get him" Sam said.
"Got it" said Gomer.
Sam ran inside.
"Murray." Sam panted.
"Sam... you're in your uniform. Are you alright?" said Murray.
"I'm fine. But we need to get you out of here before some escaped prisoners see you" Sam said.
Murray was actually able to stand and run out with Sam.
"Listen, okay? I need you to find the other Wiggles and hide with them" Sam said.
"What about you? Where will you be?" said Murray.
"Officer Pyle and I are gonna capture those criminals and then we'll be safe" Sam said.
"Please be careful" said Murray hugging Sam.
"I will. I promise" Sam said.
Sam and Gomer caught the criminals and arrested them and their helpers.
"Murray. You okay?" Sam said.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Sam... you saved my life" said Murray.
"Well, that's what we do in the Mayberry sheriff department" Sam said.
"Are you alright?" said Murray.
"Yeah, I'm okay" Sam said.
"But what about you? How's your flu, Murray" said Gomer.
"Actually, since Sam came to save me, I haven't had a symptom" said Murray.
"Alright! And I heard that the news said the flu outbreak is stopping" Sam said.
Sam and Murray hugged each other in triumph.
Looks like things are looking up.
Murray is better, the outbreak is dying down and Sam is getting good at this police stuff.
The next chapter will be the epilogue.
