Min Yoongi spotted his friend amidst the crowd leaving the classroom. Jungkook's easy-to-spot yellow hoodie with black sweatpants stuck out like a sore thumb.
That was the first club they visited since Club Day started. They had no plans, so they were going into any classrooms they saw.
He turned to Yoongi with a smile, "I can't believe you slept through everything."
"I can't believe that club was so boring it put me to sleep," Yoongi joked.
Any on-looking bystander would believe they were childhood friends considering how comfortable they were talking to each other. Every smile they wore around each other was genuine.
It was something Jungkook was thankful for.
Ever since middle school, the partially blue-haired boy had forgotten what true friendship is. The people he encountered never wanted anything to do with him. It forced him to grow distant from everyone- including his parents.
It isn't the same with Min Yoongi however.
It's been almost a week since they met and he already managed to make Jungkook feel comfortable enough to joke around him.
They always eat together, despite the countless times Jungkook has declined his offers. Yoongi knows that Jungkook would be miserable if he ate alone.
He also knows that Jungkook isn't very liked across the school. After hearing the welcoming committee talk about their fear of him, he figured that no one would try to be his friend.
If not even the nicest students in the school would do it, then it was up to Yoongi.
And it worked out perfectly since they were in similar boats.
Min Yoongi's walls were made of unbreakable steel and it made him hard to approach. Making friends wasn't an easy task for him.
Others would think of Yoongi's sharp eyes as intimidating and his bluntness as an ill-mannered attitude. It honestly didn't bother him since he's fiercely independent, but it's always good to have a friend to rely on.
Therefore, only once, Yoongi voluntarily let down his walls and welcomed Jungkook to become his friend.
"Hey....let's check out the school orchestra."
Jungkook's movements halted when he noticed his friend had stopped to stare at a poster. He walked over, scanning the words below pictures of several instruments.
'L.Y. Academy's Divine Orchestra!
Music is a language everyone can speak!
Come to the main hall classroom 104A and see how the school orchestra can fill your heart with music!*
*Performances at the start of every hour*
"Do you want to join?" Jungkook wouldn't be surprised if Yoongi said yes, he's really skilled with instruments.
"No, I'm only interested in seeing if they play well."
He gently poked Yoongi with his elbow, "Are you sure?"
"...Let's just go."
The two walked side by side past several students and teachers, taking quick peeks inside of classrooms, and headed down the wide granite staircase of the main hall.
There was a faint sound of music flowing down the halls that had reached their ears. Yoongi didn't hesitate to follow the enchanting sound while Jungkook followed silently behind him.
As the music grew louder, so did Yoongi's excitement. He's the son of two famous musicians- it only makes sense that their love for music was passed onto their only son.
