Never once in his life had Yoongi been afraid of lightning.
However, tonight he couldn't stand it.
The thunder that followed afterward didn't bother him at all, it was only the lightning. So when the first lightning bolt struck, he fell off his bed.
Namjoon was confused when he woke up and saw Yoongi huddled in the corner. It was hard to see without his glasses, so he didn't know what the other was doing.
When he put them on, he saw Yoongi huddled in the corner, squeezing his eyes shut desperately.
He tried to help him as best he could; he managed to get him to stop shaking and sit on his own bed.
Then Namjoon left the room without telling Yoongi why, and thankfully the lightning stopped.
"There's no need to tell anyone about this," Yoongi said calmly when Namjoon came back.
His chill persona contrasted with the scared one he'd shown just a few minutes ago.
He looked at Yoongi before mumbling something under his breath.
"What did you say?"
"...I said I told Kim Seokjin."
"Why?"
Namjoon sat at his desk, "He's my best friend."
Yoongi spat, "But it's my business."
A sigh left Namjoon's mouth. It wasn't right for him to tell his friend, even if he was half awake.
"You're right. Sorry...it just slipped out," Namjoon said with a small smile.
Yoongi mumbled a 'whatever' before laying down and pulling the blanket over himself.
The rain continued to fall and Namjoon was worried the lightning would strike again. He didn't want Yoongi to be scared anymore.
Namjoon waited 10 minutes just in case more lightning came.
It never did, so with tired movements, Namjoon switched the lights off and laid in his bed to sleep.
The next morning when he got ready for school, Yoongi woke up before him. He was used to being the first up and hearing Yoongi grunt angrily when he was woken up.
Yoongi quietly tied his tie, ignoring his roommate to destroy his side of the room; throwing things around left and right.
"Have you seen my phone, Yoongi?" Namjoon said while throwing his pillow on the floor.
He looked around the room and pointed to the desk, "There?"
Namjoon looked around his desk, moving papers left and right. The only electronic there was his laptop.
"I can't find it."
Yoongi looked around once more and said, "Then it's not in here," before leaving.
Namjoon gave up on finding his phone, figuring he'd simply buy a new one, and left to go to a welcoming committee meeting.
Despite everything that has been happening everyone still behaved like themselves, even after telling Seokjin about Taehyung's vision.
