chapter 5

When we pulled into the mall parking lot me and jasmine grinned at each other. I knew what I was getting and Jasmine knew what to get me so we both hopped out of the car and went inside.

I pulled a green, blue and yellow plaid skirt off the rack with a white cropped shirt and I found a leather jacket that pulled the look together and ran to the dressing room.

When I came out Jasmine smiled at me "you look amazing girl! You need that outfit in your life" she tossed me a few more skirts that where red and I smiled.

When I was done shopping we loaded everything into my car and we drove back to my house. Jasmine hopped out of the car and tan to the door holding up her index finger.

I waited tell she came back out and waved for me to come inside. I grabbed all my bags and hoped out the door and ran inside.

I was speechless, they decorated in red, orange and black. They had baked me a heart shaped cake with red frosting and even bought me chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

I sa all my stuff down and ran over to my parents who had huge smiled on their faces. "You guys are the best!" I said squeezing them, "jasmine helped" mom squeaked and I turned around and hugged her too.

After we ate some cake and ice cream my parents gave me a small box. I opened it and sitting inside was a ring and necklace. They where made of gold and the necklace had a fox on it.

I slipped the necklace on and the ring and smiled, the ring sparkled in the light and had little studs along the top hafe.

I took them off and put them back in the box, not wanting to ruin them. Me, Jasmine and my parents all sat in the living room watching TV when I started getting tired.

"I'm going to bed it's been a day" I told them and Jasmine followed behind me. I changed and got into bed and covered up. "Good night jazzy see ya tomorrow" I closed my eyes "good night Emilia" I heard as I drifted off into a deep sleep.

I woke up late in the night with shooting pain running up my back. I gasped as it intensified, I hit the side of my bed to try and get Jasmines attention but i guess it didnt work because i glanced over and she was still asleep.

I started sweating and my feet started hurting and i knew something was wrong. "Jasmine help" i cried as the pain got even worse. She sat up and looked at me with sleepy eyes and got to her feet.

"What's wrong?" She asked waking up slowly as she touched my head. She woke up fast and scooped me up into her arms and ran down stairs.

She sat my on the couch and yelled for my parents who came running down the stairs. "Its almost midnight what's going on?" My mom asked worry laced in her voice as she glanced over me.

"Okay dont freak out when I tell you this or think it's a joke because it's not. I'm a werewolf I can shift into a huge wolf. Emilia is shifting, shes adopted? Or she just got the genetics somewhere down the family tree" Jasmine sounded crazy.

"What are you talking about it's just body pains and a fever I'm sure she can break the fever in the morning and I have pain killers for the body pains" mom said and I held back a scream as my foot twitched to the left.

I started hearing popping sounds and felt so much pain it was like someone lite me on fire and was adding gasoline to the blaze.

I cried out for help but only got a few gasps from my mom and a silent cry from my dad who held my mom to his chest as their only child lay in front of them in pain.

When the pain subsided and I felt like myself again I opened my eyes and looked around. Jasmine was on the floor on her butt looking at me shocked and my parents looked terrified.

"What's wrong guys?" I tried asking but no one answered me. My body felt so much better, I hoped to the floor and landed on all fours, I headed to the kitchen the I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Wait a minute, this isn't right" I looked down and I had fuzzy arms with paws connected to them. I backed up and jumped trying to get them off thinking it was all just a dream or that it was just an illusion.

They stayed. I lay on the floor chewing on my paws trying to get them to come off. I felt tears rising in my eyes as I tried "Hey Emilia, they are part of you, you cant chew them off" my mom said sitting next to me on the floor.

My fur was like my hair, red and orange like a fox. That's what I was, a huge wolf sized fox sitting in my living room gnawing at my paws.

"You can change back if you want, I can see if my mom will let you go to fox shifter academy with me. That's where I'm going, I'll call them in the morning, think about what you looked like as a human" Jasmine told me sitting next to me as well.

I looked up at her and she gave me a kind smile and I trusted her. I shifted back and it hurt just as much as the first time. "My parents will understand" Jasmine said hugging me "you can come to fox shifter academy and we can be in the same class and dorm" Jasmine was excited.

"But what about this school, what about my parents?" I asked "we can come visit" she told me. "Let's talk to your parents first before we make a decision" I told her as she helped me to my feet. "I'm going back to bed, that was tiring" I said.

I walked over to my dad who had a small smile on his face "you did great kiddo" he told me. "Thanks dad" j rolled my eyes at his comment and ran up stairs to my room and to my bed where I went to sleep thinking about everything that just happened.
