Small Time Skip to After Practice
"Where do you want to study?" Michiko asks as Sakusa puts his volleyball shoes in his bag.
The boys' and girls' teams watched the two. They were surprised that Sakusa was talking to someone other than his cousin, especially that someone being a girl.
"We could go to your dorm," he said plainly.
"Are you sure?" Michiko was worried about her room being too dirty for him.
"I'd rather be in a place where no one is around to bother us."
"You don't want to go to your dorm?"
"Komori will distract us."
"Ah," Michiko nodded.
Everyone, including the coaches, was shocked to see the two leave together. They noticed that Sakusa willfully followed behind the happy short girl. Sakusa Kiyoomi has a girlfriend?! They all simultaneously thought.
"Izumi won't be there, she had to go to a team dinner, so it'll be just us," Michiko said casually.
Just us. For some reason, Sakusa felt more nervous than usual. They had both spent time alone together on multiple occasions, so why did this feel different? The two arrived at Michiko's dorm.
"Sorry if it's a little messy, I bought disinfectant though," she gave a small smile.
They entered. It honestly was very neat in Sakusa's opinion. Michiko moved her desk to the center of the room and placed hers and Izumi's chair on either side. She took out her disinfectant and sprayed the desk and chairs. Once they were dried, Michiko and Sakusa sat across from each other and got their things out, and started studying.
"Mou... I hate math," Michiko pouted as she looked at her notes.
"But you're really good at it," Sakusa responds.
"I still hate doing it though."
"If anything, I need you to help me. I don't know why you wanted me to study with you."
"It's more fun when you study with someone~"
"Maybe you just wanted to be alone with me," he teases despite being stoic.
"Maybe your right," she replied.
Sakusa was slightly taken aback at Michiko's honesty. She was so casual in saying it too. He was just teasing to get a rise out of the petite girl but did not expect her to retort back. He looked up to see if Michiko was staring at him, but she was still glancing down at her notes.
Her face held an expression of concentration, but Michiko was trying her best to not explode in front of Sakusa. I cannot believe I just said that. What the hell Michiko?! She was internally screaming at herself.
