"But you need to know that being different is not being wrong."

Track 5

"That was good, Minho," Hwayoung clicked a button on the soundboard table, "The playback peaked a little towards the end, so we'll need to redo that part. Other than that, everything else sounds awesome."

Minho nodded and sang his lines when Hwayoung played the track again. Through the glass window of the recording room, Hwayoung could see both Minho and Felix nodding their heads and moving their bodies to the music. She felt a warm feeling of satisfaction seeing both members enjoying her song. After working on the OST for the past week, Stray Kids and Hwayoung managed to produce all the songs to completion. The next step for the team was to record the demo versions and send it off to the drama producers for their approval.

"That take was perfect. Get some water then we'll start recording the hook," Hwayoung heard a chorus of agreements from the two men before they left the recording room, leaving her alone with her thoughts. She used her hands to grip the edges of the table and pushed against it, sending the wheels of her office chair rolling backwards. Hwayoung reached downwards, feeling the contents of her bag for her music score book. To her surprise, she was unable to locate the item even when she brought the bag upon her lap to fully go through it. After a moment of frustration, Hwayoung realized that she accidentally left it at her company when Manager An rushed her out of the building. Hwayoung released an irritated sigh before setting her bag back down with a sour expression. Even though her music score book was not necessarily important at the moment, she still felt insecure knowing that she did not have it in her immediate possession.

The glass door quickly swung open as Felix walked through the door, slightly startling Hwayoung. Felix caught her frightened expression and sheepishly apologized with a friendly smile before handing her an ice cold bottle of JYP water. Hwayoung dismissed it, accepting the bottle as Felix moved to sit on the black couches. He slouched, making his long legs stretch even further, "You good? What's the matter?"

Hwayoung spun her chair to face the handsome Aussie as she twisted the plastic cap off, "Nothing big, I just forgot my music score book at my company."

Felix nodded, opening his bottle as well, "Was it Manager An's fault?"

"It's always Manager An's fault," Hwayoung joked, "Where's Minho?"

"He said he needed to use the bathroom, so I came back here first," Felix said, taking a sip afterwards.

Hwayoung watched as he drank and even considered it godly. From the sharpness of his jawline to the way his Adam's apple bobbed up and down while he swallowed, all made Hwayoung selfishly absorb the visuals of the scene. Felix tilted the bottle back down whilst sealing it shut with the bottle cap, "I actually wanted to talk to you about some of my lines before we finish recording the song."

Hwayoung tilted her head, worried that he was unsatisfied with her work. Hwayoung's anxiety started kicking in and overwhelming her as she cautiously prompted Felix to reveal his concerns, "What is it?"

Felix added to Hwayoung's growing anticipation by taking a deep breath in, "I know you worked super hard and I'm in no way unappreciating your talent or hard work, but I don't think I'm the right person for this part. My throat is not working. I can't reach the high notes!"

Hwayoung's anxiety melted as it slowly changed into confusion. She was relieved that Felix found no flaws within her or her work; however, she was confused by the exact reason that Felix would find flaws within himself, "What exactly do you mean? I think you're the perfect person to be singing in this song."
