3rd POV
Daniel tried to follow Marie, but was stopped by Ali. "What makes you so sensitive?" Daniel looked at her, annoyed.

"What?" He asked squinting his eyes.

"She was nothing by nice to you." Daniel scoffed in disbelief.

"Oh yeah, she was so nice she used me to make what's his name jealous." It was Ali's turn to scoff.

"She doesn't even like what's his name." She shot back.

"Yeah, I never coulda guessed the way their faces were stuck together at that country club." Ali wore a sarcastic smile.

"Oh yeah, that's right." She began to walk around Daniel. "You didn't stick around for the exciting conclusion." She crossed her arms as she finished her circle.

"What, his hand on her ass." Ali scoffed.

"Her right hook. Ya think she sprained her wrist doing her nails." Daniel's expression warped into confusion at this new information.

"Wait she hit him?" Daniel asked, surprised.

"That's an understatement." Daniel was silent, out of shock and confusion.

"Well why didn't she say something?" Ali gave him a blank look.

"She tried, yet you didn't want to hear it. But, then again, she shouldn't have to, should she?" Ali pushed past Daniel, who looked confused, shocked and he felt like an idiot.

He watched Ali leave before looking towards the door that Marie left out of, taking a deep breath before running out into the night.

Marie POV

"What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday." I muttered, annoyed. I turned around as I heard a splash, watching the waterslide exit, filled with people.

I felt someone tap my back, but I didn't turn around, already knowing who it was. "Hey slugger." Daniel said, his tone a bit softer now. I still didn't respond, taking a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I should've believed you. I'm a jerk." I smiled a little, shaking my head at him.

"You're right. You are a jerk." I said with a slight laugh.

"So am I forgiven?" I didn't answer, hiding a smile. "Huh?" He asked as I broke out into a smile. "I don't hear anything." I chuckled a little, turning my head a little to watch him. "Hmm, sounds like a yes to me." I laughed as he put his head on my shoulder.

"Come here." He said softly. I turned around and hugged him, taking a deep breath as I leaned my head against his neck. I felt his rub my back before pulling away slightly, looking at me. "How's your wrist?" He asked taking my arm gently.

"Could be better, but at least it's not broken." I replied with a shrug. Daniel gave me a sympathetic look.

"So, the tournament's tomorrow." He said, still holding my wrist carefully.

"Yeah. The whole school knows." I stated, tilting my head a bit.

"It'd be a dumb move to go, huh." I shrugged.

"It'd be dumber not too. Especially after what Kreese said." I said. Daniel shrugged with a nod.

"You know, I don't have much of a cheering squad for tomorrow." I smiled, looking at the ground before looking back at him.

"Well, I'll be there." I said tilting my head with a smile.

"I'll probably get killed in the first match anyway. I shrugged slightly.

"No necessarily. And even if you do, we can leave early." Daniel smiled, making me smile but look down a little. I felt Daniel gently grab my chin, pulling up my face softly. My smile fell slightly as I leaned in, kissing him gently. He kissed back, moving his hand to cup my cheek.

I pulled away with a smile, looking into his eyes. Daniel smiled letting me go, and grabbing my non sprained hand. "I wanna show you something." He pulled me into the parking lot, over to a familiar yellow car.

"Oh my gosh! Mr Miyagi gave it to you?" I asked with a smile.

"Yeah, it's mine now!" He replied, excited.

"It was a birthday present, huh?" I smiled, leaning against the car.

"How'd you know?" Daniel asked with a smile.

"Mr Miyagi told me last week." I replied with a smirk.

"You wanna drive this?" He asked, making me raise an eyebrow.

"Really? Is that legal?" I asked with a smile.

"It's the 80's!" He replied with a laugh. I smiled, running over to the drivers side of the car and opened the door, sitting in the seat. "Do you know how to drive?" I gave him an unamused look.

"I know how to drive, Daniel. I'm almost 16." I responded with a smile. Daniel put his hands up in defense, smiling. I grabbed the keys and started the car, driving out of the parking lot.

"You know, even if you do get destroyed at the tournament tomorrow, I'm still gonna be really proud of you." Daniel had his arms wrapped around me as we sat in the back of the car, enjoying the night.

"Well, I appreciate it. Although, that's probably what's gonna happen." I shook my head, smiling.

"Well, I don't think that's gonna happen. You've worked really hard, and even if you lose, you still proved a point." Daniel smiled, kissing my forehead.

"That I can take a beating?" I looked at him.

"That you can try." I scooched closer to Daniel, resting my head on his shoulder.
