Wars... many wars. The children are sent off to facilities to keep them safe as the parents are sent to fight. One girl, Rachel Smith, finds herself at the gates meant to keep the children in their fantasies of nothingness. Rachel remembers almost nothing, except her name. A young man, James Tyrone, wants to embark on the journey Rachel has chosen to follow. One problem is, that Sargent, the leader of the facilities, always has her eye Rachel, and James.
