I look over my outfit one last time and sigh. What do people even really do at parties? I fidget with my sleeves a bit making sure my suit didn't peek out anywhere from underneath my clothes and begin walking downstairs.

Stepping off the elevator I'm stopped by Happy. "Hey (Y/n), where are you off to?"

"Oh, hey Happy! I'm actually going to a party, sorry for not telling you guys sooner, it's kind of last minute."

I nervously laugh as Happy only looks down at me rather intensely before he quickly sighs out of relief, "Oh thank the lord, Tony and I thought you were just going to be a shut in your whole life!"

I laugh along with him as he continues, "Hey, I'll drive you. It's your first party right?"

"Yeah, but can you drop me off at Peter's instead? He and I and another friend are all going together."

I step out of the car, "Thanks Happy! I'll text you when I've made it home safely!"

Walking up the stairs I bump into someone. I quickly turn, "Oh! Sorry! Wait, hey Peter."

"(Y/n), sorry I didn't see you there," he softly chuckles.

"It's okay! Are you going somewhere or..."

"I was actually looking for you! I-i saw your car and wanted to make sure you made it up here alright—" he quickly clears his throat, "I mean I was worried you forgot what floor and apartment number we live in."

"Oh thanks! That's really nice of you." I stammer out.

"Of course! That's what friends are for." Peter replies.

We sit there in awkward silence before I look down and say, "Are you nervous too?"

Glancing back up towards Peter, I see him sigh out of relief, "Yeah."

Both looking down, "I've actually never been to a party before," we say in unison.

I quickly look back up up towards him and we softly laugh. "So..." Peter began, leading me back to his place, "did you bring your suit?"

I gently pull up one of my sleeves showing the suit underneath, "Yup!"

We walk inside to find Ned sitting with May who were waiting for us. "Hey (Y/n)!" Ned says excitedly, "I'm so excited for this party, it's going to be great!"

"Yeah..." I trailed off, still nervous. "Hey Aunt May! It's nice to see you again!"

"(Y/n)! It's so nice seeing you too! You look great!" Aunt May says smiling.

"Oh thank you!"

"You know," Aunt May glances between Peter and I, "Peter has been talking about you a lot."

I turn to Peter, "Really?"

Peter stutters, "W-well I mean..."

"Oh definitely!" May cuts him off, "I mean he's constantly telling me how smart and amazing you are, how nice it is that you joined the decathlon team with him and Ned, and how pretty your smil—"

"Okay!" Peter shouts suddenly, his face bright red. "Look at the t-time! We better get going! I'd hate to be late to the party."

May only teasingly smiles at him, "Okay, let's go."

Ned walked to me and silently whispered, "What was that about?"

I glanced at him, shrugging, "I have no idea."

We pull up to Liz's house, and their loud upbeat music could be heard from all the way out here.
