I was sitting with Mj by the pool, thinking to myself. Why is Peter acting so weird? Is it something I said? Maybe I should go back to their room and see if he's okay—-

"(Y/n)? Earth to (Y/n)?" Mj called me, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Hm?"

"Are you okay? You looked like you were having a vision or something." She laughed and I chuckled along with her.

"It's nothing, really." I say, looking down.

"Oh please I know it's 'nothing' what's on your mind?" She asks.

I purse my lips, "well, it's just that Peter's been acting weird lately."

"More than he usually is?" We laugh.

"Yeah...and I was worried it may be something I did." I said softly.

Mj sighed, "What do I always say?"

"Do gay be crime?" I say between chuckles.

"NO—" Mj bursts out laughing. "The other thing."

"Ohh, never question your self-worth."

"There you go!" Mj pauses, "(Y/n) you're my best friend, I know you. There's nothing you could've done to upset Peter."

I wouldn't say that.

"Trust me (Y/n) I think I know what it is." She says, a smirk appearing on her face.

"Really?"

"Mhm. I think he likes you."

I laugh, "Nah, he doesn't. He's just a really good friend! Besides he likes Liz..."

"Are you trying to convince me or yourself?"

I chuckle. "You know what? I'm just going to see him and ask what's going on. I'm not going to just sit here all night wondering when I can just know now."

"Hell yeah! Carpe diem!" Mj cheered.

And with that, I stand up and head to Peter's room.

I knock on the door, trying not to let my nerves get to me. I'm sure it's nothing. Ned finally opens the door, but he doesn't look happy to see me. "Oh (Y/n)! W-what are you doing here?" He asked, his eyes widening.

"I was uh actually looking for Peter. Is he here?"

"UH...yes...no....yes?"

"So he is here?"

"Yeah! Yeah, of course where else would he be?" Ned awkwardly laughs. "He's uh, he's just in the shower though so you'll have to talk to him later."

"Oh okay. Well, goodnight then Ned!" I smile and leave.
