I was waking up the steps of Midtown High when I spotted Peter and Ned. Smiling softly, I make my way over there to see what they were talking about.

"Do you lay eggs?"

"What? Ned no." Peter quickly responded.

I laugh, "What are you guys talking about?"

"(Y/n)!" Ned excitedly shouted, "Thank god you're here, I have so many questions for you!"

I chuckle, "Ask away!"

—————

We were sitting together in class, and I was dozing off. After blinking hard a few times to try to wake myself up, Ned leaned over and whispered, "So...what can you do exactly?"

I smile, "Well, basically I can create force fields and heal people."

"Woah. I have the coolest friends." Ned said astonished.

I lightly laugh, " Um, Thanks?"

Ned only shakes his head, "No no, thank you."

"So you're like Mercy, from Overwatch?" Ned continues.

"What's Overwatch?"

"Can you say 'heroes never die'?" Ned practically begs before gasping, "Wait! You don't have a hero name yet...do you?"

"Well I'm still deciding," I start, but Ned cuts me off.

"You have to be called Mercy!"

I laugh, "I'll think about it."

Ned fist pumps the air, "Yes!

We all chuckle before Ned continues, "Can you make different shapes out of the force fields? And can you create multiple ones at the same time?"

"Well yes, that's what I'm actually working on,"

"Dude that's awesome," Ned fanboys a little bit, "If I were you, I would try making weapons out of them! Think about it, it would not only be super cool, but super useful too! You could make a sword!"

I've actually never thought of that. Could I do that? Before I could respond, a girl decided to shush us.

"How far can you shoot your webs?" Ned asked Peter, ignoring her.

"I don't know," Peter trailed off.

"Well of I were you, I would just stand on the edge of a building and shoot them as far as I could."

"That's actually not a bad idea," I chimed in.

Before we could talk anymore, the girl behind us shushed us again.

—————

Sitting in another class Ned turned to me and asked, "So you can heal anything?"

"I'm actually not sure, the most I've ever done was a fractured bone."

Peter looked over, concerned, "Wait it doesn't hurt you or anything right?"

I shyly look down, "Well, it does a little, but only for a little bit! Most of the time I just feel a bit sleepy. That's how it works—I think. I take some of my energy and give it to others so they can heal themselves faster."

Ned looked at me, "You are literally the coolest person I have ever met!"

"What about me?" Peter said with a fake pout.

"Of course you're great too Peter," Ned stated.

"And?" Peter trailed off.

"Eh, you're still not cooler than (Y/n)."

I laughed nudging the pouting spider's arm, "Don't worry Peter, you're the coolest guy I know!"

"Awe, really?"

"Of course! Second to Ned." I quip, laughing with Ned.

"Oh come on!" Peter groaned.

"Anyways, back to what I was saying," Ned starts, "Can you raise people from the dead? Like necromancy??"

"Ned, I've never even thought of attempting to do that let alone try—-"

"I volunteer Flash to be the experiment." Ned flatly states.

"Ned!" Peter and I exclaimed as the bell rang.

We were all in PE, and Mj and I were helping each other do sit ups and talking about our favorite books to read when I overhear Ned and Peter's conversation. Having finished, I make my way over towards them as Mj walks towards the benches for her book. As I walk over however, Ned suddenly shouts, "Peter knows Spider-Man!"

He did not just do that. I almost laughed from the situation before Ned finished, "And (Y/n) knows Mercy!"

"Mercy?" Liz asks, before realizing, "Oh, is that the new superhero's name?"

"Yes. Yes it is." Ned stated.

"I-I don't exactly know Spider-man," Peter began, stuttering nervously.

"Um we met Spider-man and Mercy through the Stark internship a few times actually!" I quickly shouted, finishing his sentence.

"Yeah!" Peter continued, "That's actually where (Y/n) and I met!"

"Well you should totally bring your personal friends to the party tonight Peter." Flash said, smirking towards us.

Who is this guy again? I wondered to myself, before Liz said, "Yeah, I'm having a party at my place tonight," but Flash cut her off.

"You could totally have them come over, and—oh! I forgot to mention Black Widow is my plus one tonight so she'll be there too." Flash said sarcastically.

"That's okay, Peter's too busy for parties anyways." Liz stated looking over towards us, finishing her earlier sentence.

Is she being nice or is she throwing shade I genuinely can't tell.

"Nah," Flash said looking over at Peter and I. "They'll be there."

Just then the bell rang and everyone began leaving. I look over towards Ned. "Really?"

"I'm sorry!" He frantically said, waving his hands in the air.

"Also, I said I would think about the name,
not that I would chose it," I said laughing as Peter sighed.
