Chapter 5

"Mum?!"

"Hi sweetheart!" She immediately hugged me and over her shoulder, I saw my dad, my brother Haruto, and my sister Airi.

"W-what are you guys doing here?"

"Chill Hanako-san, we're here for Christmas! Why are you stuttering? Are you hiding something? Or perhaps, someone?" Haruto teased.

"No! *cough* no I was just surprised because you didn't call."

"Well, we tried, but it seems like you haven't paid your phone bill in a while." My mum put her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, well you could have called the convenience store... I'm working there most of the day."

"I didn't know you worked at a convenience store."

"Really?" Am I that bad at communicating with my family? I heard Yoshinori's voice come up behind me and I froze.

"Is this your family?" He asked cutely. I couldn't even answer because I was immediately bombarded with questions from my family.

"Who is this?"

"Is this your boyfriend?"

"Is this your husband?"

"Why didn't you tell us?"

So many questions, not enough time to answer them all.

"Come in, then I'll explain." Even though there were only 7 people in the house, it was too crowded. "This is Yoshinori, he is a photographer from Kobe."

"I have a friend from Kobe! What's his surname?" My mum interrupted.

"Kanemoto." Thank goodness Yoshinori answered that one because honestly, I couldn't remember.

"Oh! That's my friend's surname!" Here we go.

"I knew Watanabe sounded familiar! My mum always talks about you guys."

I couldn't even finish telling everyone about why Yoshinori is here, so I just let them talk. Who needs to talk to mum? So, I sat and talked with dad, Haruto and Airi. Airi was really happy to see me and I was really sorry that I didn't call and wasn't able to answer when she tried to call me.

Haruto low-key cried, and I could tell because his nose was all red. My dad still wanted to know where Yoshinori came from so I told him everything except for the part that I find him extremely gorgeous and I would like to marry him and that I hope he is the father of my children.

But I don't think anyone needs to know that. Except Airi. I took her to my room and we immediately started fangirling over Yoshinori.

"Hanako, who is that guy? He's really cute."

"I know right? I low-key want him to be the father of my children."

"Hey, that's weird! But I get it."

"Slow down! He's mine." I joked. Then I noticed someone in the doorway. Crap crap crap crap craaaaap. It's Yoshinori.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I screamed.

I scrambled under the covers and tried my very best to hide. I want to disappear.

"Can you excuse us?" I heard Yoshinori say to Airi, I think. I felt him sit next to me and try to pull the covers from over my head but I refused to let him see my face. "Don't make me do it." He said. Do what?

He started tickling me and I couldn't help but loosen my grip on the blanket. He pulled the blanket over my head, hugging me tightly afterwards.

"What did you say?" He spoke lightly in my ear and I shivered at the feeling of his breath against my cheek. I didn't answer. I couldn't. I just said that I wanted him to be the father of my children. And he's asking me to say it again while I am in his arms.

"No."

"Say it."

"No."

Without warning, he kissed my cheek. I was shocked and tried to get away, but he just held me tighter.

"What did you say?"

"I said you're mine," I gulped.

"Before that."

"You heard it already!" I whined.

"I'm not sure I heard you correctly."

"Only if you say please."

"Please?"

"Please what?"

"Please tell me what you said about wanting me to be the father of your children."

"Fine," I huffed. "I low-key want him to be the father of my children, happy now?"

He giggled and then cooed at me.

"You know," He sounded mischievous, "That might be possible."

I froze.

"Not right now of course, but some day, I would love that."

I feel okay now. He has such a calming effect on me and I feel like I could talk to him about anything.

"I would too." I want to stay like this forever but my family is waiting just outside the door. "We have to get up, though. It's time to face my family."

"Oh."

"It's okay, my dad isn't that bad." I laughed. "Hopefully" He glanced down at me. "Just kidding." I pried his arms off of me and opened the bedroom door.
