Hanako POV
I wake up to the cruel sound of my old-style alarm clock. 5:00 am it reads. Waking up early gives me a good feeling inside, like a feeling of being productive. Oh, I also have to feed my horses and take care of my garden and then get to my job at the (almost out of business) convenience store. It doesn't pay much but that's okay because all I need is my farm, my house, and the fields surrounding it. Well technically the fields aren't my property but they're not really anyone else's either, so I use 'em to ride the horses and all that.
I throw my bed covers aside and head to the kitchen to grab my leftover rice and put it in the rice cooker. While I wait, I make myself a cup of coffee and prepare some salmon to go along with the rice . After what seems like forever, my rice comes out and I place the salmon gently on top of the rice and turn on the radio.
After I finish, I look to my clock. 6:00 am. Plenty of time until work so I go to feed the horses and water my plants. I speed out of the front door and down the porch straight to the barn.
