Chapter 12

I woke up in Yoshinori's arms and quietly got up to take a shower and change into fresh clothes.

"I'm going to go to work. I love you baby." I announced as I put on my shoes.

"Hold on, let me give you a kiss before you go."

He ran down the hallway towards me still with his bed hair and pajamas. I smiled as I opened my arms and Yoshinori wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. I breathed in his scent and realized that even when he just woke up he still smelled fresh like a calming waterfall.

"You smell nice."

He chuckled and pulled away, patting my head.

"And you have work. Go on, my love.

I walked out the front door and headed for the barn.

"Oh Nako, you won't believe what happened." I said while saddling her up. "You won't even want to hear about it." I laughed and hopped onto Nako, taking off for work.

Work was slow of course, until someone came in. It was an older man, presumably in his late 40's to early 50's. His hair was longer and a bit shaggy, which I found odd because most older men I see have neat haircuts, while it was the younger boys that have longer hair.

"Hello! If there's anything you need help with, just give me a holler." I faked a smile as usual and the man started walking towards me.

"What does a pretty young lady like you need a job for?"

With a closer look, I could see that he had scruff all over his face and he was really unattractive. And creepy.

"Just working to feed me and my horses." I tried my best to stay professional. I made an attempt to change the subject. "Is there anything you're looking for?"

"Nothing in particular."

He started walking around the counter. I didn't move. Not because I couldn't, but I had a plan.

He got close to me and touched my waist. I noticed someone walked in and it was Yoshinori. I winked at him and signaled for him to be quiet.

As soon as the old man tried to kiss me I took his wrist and twisted his arm behind his back, pushing him to his knees.

He made a pained noise but I kept a straight face and leaned closer to his ear.

"Get out of my store."

I let go, giving the creep a push and he scrambled out of the door while I walked over to Yoshinori. He looked shocked and I couldn't help but laugh.

"What's up baby?" I smiled and placed my hand on his cheek. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

"No, I just saw my girlfriend deck some old man. I didn't know you could do that."

"Sorry. But now you know, so all is well, right?"

"Right." He leaned down and kissed my lips softly. "Please don't practice on me."

"I won't. How did you get here?"

"I walked."

"What?" Why did he walk all the way out here? "First of all, you didn't have to do that. Second of all, how did you know where the store was? Third, why did you walk? You could've taken Yuri."

"Slow down, one question at a time. Ok, to begin with, I have absolutely no idea how to ride a horse, let alone saddle one, so I just... started walking. Eventually I saw this place and assumed it was where you were," he smiled innocently. "I walked in and... saw you were getting all close with that guy." His smile faded and he looked down.

"What is it, baby?"

"Nothing." He lifted his head and there was a slight red hue around his nose.

"I wasn't about to do anything with him. I only love you."

Yoshinori gave me a sad smile. I knew he was jealous and I tried my best to reassure him.

"I'm sorry, I was just worried. You know that I could never love anyone besides you, right."

"Yes, I know. And the same goes for me. If it's not you, then it isn't anyone. It's been a long day. Let's go home."

He agreed and we headed on home.

"You go on inside, I'll take care of Nako." He walked inside the house and I quickly took care of Nako so I could join Yoshinori.

I skipped into the house and sat happily on the couch.

"Why are you so happy?"

I smiled and nuzzled my face into his chest.

"Because I am with my tiger."
