(C/N) got dragged into a room full of shinny armor. Different sizes hung from the walls, sizes for dwarfs, sizes for big men, sizes for tiny animals, basically every size you could imagine.
"Wow! So this is what a armory looks like!" (C/N) asked in awe, for this was all new to her and what ever she heard was from books.
Lizzie giggled as this was a norm to her, "Yea, it's nothing special. Now...I think you'll fit into a small size."
The blonde haired girl went into a trunk and dug around making a ton of noise, (C/N) just admired the weaponry and armor hung on the walls.
Lizzie dug out a bunch of things and placed them on the ground, when she was done she turned around and examined the girl.
"Ok, so...this may feel a bit heavy at first but it will protect you."
"Are you sure?"
"Well...there is that one percent chance it doesn't...but I won't let anything happen to you."
Lizzie slid a chest plate over her head, when it landed on (C/N) chest it felt heavier then she had originally thought it to be.
It was however the correct size, so Lizzie went to buckling it up.
"What do you think battles are like?" The blonde asked (C/N).
(C/N) sighed and shrugged thinking about it, "glorious, a place to find honor, a place to conquer. Why?"
"Battles aren't always that glorious, they can be messy and some men that come home are scarred for life at what they've seen. Usually battles are bloody, people crying in pain, things that you can't even think up...you'll see. I just don't want you getting the wrong idea in your head."
"I won't..I assume there bloody but usually when people win a battle...it's a epic and heroic deed."
"Books explain things a lot less gruesome then they actually are, books skip through details and point out the more honorable side of things. They paint it out as a pretty picture when really, you have to march in battle like it's your last day to live...because it might be."
(C/N) gulped, she didn't think of that. Lizzie has seen tons of battles and everyone here knows better then a author who just imagines it. There was that fifty fifty chance you could get stabbed by that one blade and then have your life flash before your eyes, before you know it your gone.
"Lizzie?" (C/N) asked thinking of the one question that had been buried deep in her mind.
The blonde looked at her friend and saw the nervousness in her eyes, "Yes?"
"Do you think if you die here..." (C/N) paused before saying the rest of her sentence, "do you think you go back to your home or do you actually die?"
Lizzie paused for a minute before she answered her friend, "I don't know. Let's hope we never have to find out that answer."

After a hour worth of trying on armor and prepping each other's hair in a braid, the two girls were finally ready to meet up with everyone outside.Peter had suggested flying on griffins to the castle, they were quiet creatures and stealthy.
When (C/N) came outside with Lizzie, she saw griffins up close for the first time in her entire life. She was a bit intimidated and in awe of the creatures beauty that she caught her self staring at one. In fact, the one she was staring at stared back at her. She couldn't believe it for a moment, then it spoke to her.
"Hello there girl." It said making (C/N) jump.
Elizabeth laughed at her friend, (C/N) managed to compose her self.
