Heading back the other way, (C/N) felt like they should've followed Aslan. This didn't feel right, (C/N) had that gut feeling this way wouldn't lead anywhere.
As they walked through a grove of bushes they could hear banging and machinery. They heard men talking, a lot of men. Everyone knelt down to the ground and crouched towards a stack of logs for cover.
The group looked at each other as they saw the sight before them. Telmerain's were cutting logs and others were hammering wooden nails in a bridge that laid across the river. The sight was terrifying and overwhelming to everyone, no one moved for a few minutes but then Peter quietly moved backwards.
They would have to end up going Lucy's way, so each Pevensie backed away quietly except for (C/N) who felt comfort in sitting down for the first time in hours.
The Pevensies and Trumpkin didn't notice she wasn't with them, nor did the girl notice they had gone. When (C/N) turned around, she saw they had left.
She panicked as she didn't know which way they went and of course she didn't know where they were...where anything was. She started to back away and into the shadows more so she wouldn't be caught. However, her foot found a twig and it made a loud snap. One of the men looked that way and saw the young girl, panic was seen in her face.
"Spy!!!!" He yelled making a couple more people turn as well.
(C/N) shot up to a standing position, she looked around panicked. This couldn't be good, she stepped back slowly.
"Hello everyone." She laughed nervously while giving a slight wave. Then she broke into a run, she ran through the bushes as fast as she could while earning a scrape from one of the sharp things.
It stung, but she didn't scream or stop, she just kept running. Running, not knowing where she was going, just going on a whim until she fumbled and tripped on a string. Then she found her self trapped in a net, she struggled to break free but couldn't.
"What did we catch this time?" A mans voice asked.
Another replied, "May be another..."
Then the two revealed themselves from behind a large tree, they looked at each other and sighed. Apparently that wasn't the catch they had wanted. So, they let her loose by cutting the rope. She fell down with a big thud, she groaned as her bum was now sore.
"Who are you?" One of the men asked while looking at the girl.
She sighed as she didn't exactly know how to explain her situation, "see it started when I was in my first year, see Edmund...ughhh he...well bullied me and I..."
The two huntsmen looked at (C/N) like she was from another world (which of course she was)
(C/N) crossed her arms and pouted, "stop looking at me like that."
One of the huntsmen was about to speak when the men who had spotted her from the river came forward.
"Stop! She is a spy!"
"This girl?" The huntsman asked the guards while raising his brow, "she's technically our catch."
"We will pay you? Two hundred gold for her." The leader of the group told the two huntsman.
The men who caught her looked her over and chatted amongst themselves, then they looked at the talmerian.
"Deal." One of them nodded as the workers handed the money over to the one that seemed like the leader.
(C/N) found this barbaric, they didn't own her and so no one could purchase someone they didn't possess.
"You can't sell me, you don't own me." She told them protesting, which didn't help at all.
