(C/N) reached the top of the steps where the boys were sitting outside and on the ground playing with grass, when they heard the girls they looked up.

"Did ya get (C/N) in a dress or is she stubborn about staying in her school cloths?" Edmund asked playing with a piece of grass with his fingers.

Susan and Lucy stepped aside letting Edmund catch the view of a annoyed (C/N) standing with her arms crossed.

Edmund looked up for a second and then went to his piece of grass, however when it registered in his brain that she was actually in a dress he looked up.

When he saw how beautiful she looked, his jaw dropped and he stared at her shocked of the fact she actually went for the dress.

Everyone one was giggling because Edmund still had his mouth open and his eyes were still glued on her, Peter actually put his hand under the boys chin and closed his mouth for him.

"Ya gonna say anything or should I say it for you?" (C/N) teased at the boy.

"I.....I..." was all Edmund could muster at the moment.

(C/N) laughed at that, "I what?"

"I look beautiful....Wait no...you look me...oh good grief." Edmund sighed all tongue twisted and flushed.

Everyone just giggled at the love struck boy that had no words, Peter slapped the back of his head which made him yelp.

"Ouch!! What was that for!" He groaned rubbing the back of his head.

Peter laughed and stood up from the ground, "I know this is entertaining, but we should practice with our weapons. Especially (C/N)."

"Wait, why me??? Can't you do the fighting?" She asked terrified.

Peter sighed, "Yes and no, if were not here to protect you or were busy fighting and can't come to your aid...you need to learn how to defend your self."

"But doesn't it take years to master this art? I mean you people had years and battle training I assume, I only have what...a hour?" (C/N) asked nervous to fight and possibly die.

Peter smirked, "Two hours, none the less you will get the basic fighting skills to survive. We can train you more later, but right now it's basics."

"Ok we will be training with sticks right?" She asked hoping that we wouldn't have to use our real ones unless necessary.

Peter shook his head, "your real one, you'll get paired with Edmund while I'll teach Lucy a bit."

"Why Edmund?" (C/N) asked crossing her arms.

Peter shrugged, "Because...I'm busy with Lucy right now."

Peter walked with Lucy over to a corner a good distance from Edmund and the girl, Susan went over to a apple tree for target practice. That left (C/N) and Edmund alone, she hated that but also this gave her a chance to whip his butt.

"Shall we start lover boy?" She smirked teasing him, that name was gonna stick.

He sighed and got up from the ground, he rubbed his head a bit before deciding where to start.

"Ok, take out your sword." He told the girl.

She awkwardly reached over with her right left hand, however Edmund shook his head at her.

"What?" She asked him confused.

He pointed to her left hand, "you use your right hand since your right handed."

"You know if you're going to have a attitude about this you can..." she huffed and crossed her arms, she would've pouted to but thought that was over doing it.

"I'm sorry, ok..so pull out your sword with your right hand." He instructed in a less frustrating tone.

He wasn't frustrated at her, he was embarrassed about how he acted just now. If the circus saw him, he'd be deployed as a clown.

The girl listened to Edmund and drew her sword out carefully, the weight it carried. It was heavy, she didn't know how she was gonna fight with it.

"Ok raise your sword and get into a horse stance. We'll practice the high block first." He told her getting in his stance.

She got into hers and held the sword with two hands since it was extremely heavy, Edmund swung at her. She back up afraid of the sharp blade and tripped over a stone, the fall made her behind sore.

Edmund gasped at that and (C/N) knew that he would some how make fun of her for it, she was ready to embrace it as he came over.

However he didn't laugh, he just smiled and held out his hand to help her. She didn't know what to do for a minute, the same boy that teased her years ago was now acting like a hero.

"You ok? You were fast, that was a nice dodge..just the stone got in the way." He said softly to her.

Edmund wanted to tease the fact that she fell on her rump so badly at this moment, however he figured he'd get stabbed if he did. He wanted to show her he changed, he wanted to be her friend...may be more then that if she let him get close.

(C/N) grabbed his hand and stood up from the ground, she dusted her dress off and picked up her sword.

"Are you ready my lady." Edmund smirked getting into position, the girl smiled and swung her sword at the boy.

After a hour practice with Edmund, she went over to Lucy to practice the art of dagger throwing which was in her opinion safer.

"So, did ya forgive Edmund yet?" She asked throwing her dagger and making it land perfectly in that spot.

(C/N) shrugged, "It's complicated Lucy, some day you'll understand."

"He likes you." She smirked getting her dagger from the tree.

(C/N) blushed while holding her dagger, Lucy just smirked looking at her rosey red cheeks.

"Like I said it's complicated but it's obvious he does..I mean the cat got his tongue didn't it?" (C/N) asked Lucy while throwing her dagger making it land perfectly on the marked spot Lucy dug with her dagger.

She laughed, "Yea more like you caught his tongue."

Those two hours went by quickly, she learned much and for a beginner she wasn't half bad.

"Alright, let's get out of here." Peter announced grabbing his things.

At that moment, they could hear two male voices in the distance on the other side.

Peter hushed them and walked over to the bushes, two soldiers with armer were transporting something in the bottom of the boat.

Edmund who was next brother pulled on his shirt a tad and pointed to a path a dirt pathway leading down to some big rocks.

Peter hushed us and bent over so that way he wasn't spotted, he went down first just in case. Once he made it down, he beckoned us to come, Edmund stepped aside and let Lucy go down. Susan was next and then I was, Edmund joined us last.

Peter peeked behind the rock to see the two men with a dwarf all tied up and gagged, they were about to throw him into the water. Peter immediately went into action and came up with a plan, this dwarf wasn't dying on his watch.
