Elizabeth had just woken up from a surprisingly good rest, she got up from her blankets that laid on the ground and went out into the hall.

Caspian must have already gotten up, his bed was empty. Lizzie decided to try and find him, find out how he was feeling.

She strolled down a couple of halls before hearing familiar voices in the background, she stopped and listened carefully.

"Are you so glad of that magic horn now, boy?Your kings and queens have failed us. Your army's half dead. And those that aren't will be soon enough."  Nickabrick asked Caspian with a hint of boasting in his voice.

The Talmerain prince asked, "What do you want, Congratulations?"

"You want your uncle's blood. So do we."  The dwarf said confidently.

Elizabeth almost gasped, but she thought better of it. She didn't want to be over heard and then discovered. What on Earth was the dwarf doing? What was her love thinking, surly this method would land them in more trouble then they were in now.

"You want his throne? We can get it for you." Nickabrick added.

Then Lizzie heard foot steps and she knew they were walking off somewhere, the girl decided to follow them. What ever they were up too, it wasn't good at at.

"You tried one ancient power." Nickabrik continued as he walked down a familiar hall, "It failed."

After he said that, they landed in the room where the stone table lay. Elizabeth stayed behind the entrance that lead out agents the big Aslan carving in the center of the room.

"But there is a power greater still. One that kept even Aslan at bay for near a hundred years." The dwarf finished.

Elizabeth knew Caspian was making a huge mistake. The girl immediately ran out from her hiding place and headed strait for Caspian who was definitely startled to see her there.

"Caspian stop, there has to be another way." She pleaded with him, she could sense trouble.

Caspian cupped her cheek, "go love, I'll be.."

A deep growl interrupted the boy from speaking, he got out his sword after he wrapped his arms around Elizabeth tightly. Both of them walked down the stairs being very cautious.

"Who's there?" Caspian asked in a brave voice.

The prince wasn't feeling very brave, he was terrified but wouldn't show it to Elizabeth. She was probably afraid too, he needed to be strong for her. After all, besides feeling afraid, he knew that she would kill him after this was over.

"I am hunger. I am thirst. I can fast a hundred years and not die. I can lie a hundred nights on the ice and not freeze. I can drink a river of blood and not burst..... SHOW ME YOUR ENEMIES!" the creature growled making the two confused humans jump, as for the dwarf, he was grinning from ear to ear.

"What you hate, so will we." said the other ghastly creature, "No one hates better than us."

The first beast that came out behind the rock looked to be a werewolf, his dog like snout and sharp teeth seemed to be a obvious cliché but as for the other one, Elizabeth couldn't guess. The second being had a bald green head and a beaked nose, it looked like a ugly chicken that was part dwarf. Elizabeth gave up guessing, the more pressing issue was what these things wanted.

Still holding onto Elizabeth, Caspian stepped forward towards the creatures. Caspian still held his sword in his hand, but it was drawn down to his side. Elizabeth didn't move.
