We all looked at him confused, who got the horn so long ago. The one that called us here, the one that's survived thousands of years.
"How much time has passed?" I asked the dwarf who was standing up and dusting his pants off.
He looked at me and gave it some thought, "about three hundred."
"Wow, you people are old news." I joked but no one laughed.
Peter looked at Trumpkin and thought about what to ask him next, "you..do you have the horn?"
"No, someone else did. His name is Prince Caspian, I heard it being thrown around with my captures. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go find my friends and make sure there ok." Trumpkin said walking to the boat.
Peter stepped in his way, "We'll help you look for them and this Caspian fellow. He can give us some answers."
"Well I can tell you that the talmerains don't like him that much, they want him and us dead." Trumpkin told the group while gathering some berries on a near by bush, "If I know truffle hunter, he would've taken the prince in. So if you want the prince...I can show you the last place I saw them."
"Then take us." Peter told him as he gathered his weaponry.
Everyone including (C/N) started gathering what they needed and making there way to the vessel.
The girls got in first, then the dwarf and Peter. Edmund was to push them off, so with all his brutal strength he did. Then he quickly climbed in the boat as Peter started rowing, Edmund would be next.
"This was fun!" (C/N) thought, a adventure just the thing she needed.
A hour later
"This is boring." (C/N) thought to herself as her finger dipped in the water, she bent over and put her head on her free hand.
All there was, was water, trees, and more water. No sign of land, no sign of any human. This wasn't the adventure she was hoping for, in fact it was more of a waiting period then anything.
"Are we almost there peter?" (C/N) asked feeling hopeless.
He shrugged unsure himself, "I don't know."
"Can I have some food?" She asked feeling hungry.
Edmund pulled out a apple and handed it to her, she looked at it as she had one before they began this journey. It didn't sound appealing, we had eaten all the berries Trumpkin had collected.
"I'll pass." (C/N) said glumly as she pulled her finger out of the massive liquid that seemed to cover every inch and distance.
"They aren't dancing." Lucy mumbled with a sad face.
Trumpkin looked at the girl confused, who exactly was supposed to dance.
"What?" He asked her.
She replied, "the trees, they used to dance."
"Back when you left, the trees...they deserted so deep inside them self that they haven't been heard since." The dwarf explained, it was sad and it seemed the more they knew about narnia the more it wasn't what it used to be.
"How could Aslan let that happen?" Lucy whispered loud enough for Trumpkin to hear.
The dwarf immediately turned to look at her shocked, "Aslan...we thought he abandoned us when you left."
"We didn't mean to leave." Peter defended.
Trumpkin sighed and looked away, "it doesn't make any difference now does it."
"Get us to the Narnians and it will." Peter told him.
(C/N) looked up at Peter for the first time in a hour, "Who is Aslan?"
"He is the greatest lion to live, he is the true king of Narnia." Lucy explained a contently.
(C/N) smiled, "he must be one smart lion."
"He is, he can talk and..." Lucy started to say feeling happy again but (C/N) interrupted her.
"Wait?? He can talk?" She asked a little bit scared.
Lucy smiled, "yes, he's kind. He's not a tame lion but he is good."
With that everyone became silent as we rode to our destination, the long water rode that seemed to have no end.
~
Another couple hours later we finally saw land, in the distance was a huge forest that had a outlet to the beach.Peter used the last of his arm strength to get the boat far enough so Edmund could pull it towards land and when he did, everyone got out to stretch there stiff muscles.
Lucy had walked off while the others were pulling the boat on shore, I decided to do some stretches and get the blood flowing for walking.
As (C/N) was bending over, she had a view of Lucy. She was walking over towards a bear, (C/N) forgetting animals could talk immediately rushed over to the girl.
"What are you doing?" (C/N) asked her, the little girl smiled and ignored (C/N).
"Hello there! It's alright, we're friends." Lucy told the bear who turned around and sniffed the air, it looked alert.
"Lucy..lets go." (C/N) whispered as the bear lowered its head.
"Don't move, both of you!!" Trumpkin yelled but that made Lucy turn her head and move.
The bear felt threatened, it ran towards the two. (C/N) split out of there like there was no tomorrow, technically if the bear did catch up with them there would be.
(C/N) ran and then stopped when she realized Lucy wasn't by her side anymore, she turned around and saw the bear growling at Lucy who had tripped.
"Susan!! Shoot!!" Edmund yelled at his sister who was just standing still.
The animal stood up on its hind legs and roared, then in slow motion a arrow whipped past (C/N) head. It hit the bear in the heart as it fell down dead, (C/N) gasped and for some reason ran over to Edmund.
"You ok?" He asked her.
She nodded and walked with Edmund over to the bear, Peter immediately grabbed Lucy and held out his sword. Edmund came over and wrapped a arm around (C/N) who was too shocked to do anything about it, she looked at Lucy who was shaken up by this event.
"Why didn't it stop?" Susan asked confused.
Trumpkin poked the still beast with the end of his bow, "Perhaps it was hungry?"
"Thanks." Lucy told the dwarf who apparently didn't hear her.
"It was wild." Edmund mentioned staring at the animal.
Peter held Lucy closer to his side, "I don't think he could talk at all."
"Perhaps if you're treated like a dumb animal long enough, that's what you become. You may find narnia a more savage place then you remember." Trumpkin told the group as he pulled his dagger out.
He cut into the Bear for the meet, Lucy turned away and buried her face in Peters side.
As for (C/N) she looked down at the ground as she felt sad for the bear, however they needed the meat.
After the Bear was cut up and put in a cloth hanky, everyone gathered there things. It was time to head into the forest and walk to the shuddering woods in hopes of finding the Narnians, so as she stood by Edmund they all stepped foot and started to journey to save Narnia.
