Check mate or so we thought

(C/N) followed Lizzie down the long hall of the big castle, the weird thing is that there were hardly any guards passing through these corridors. This seemed way to easy, something felt off about this whole thing.

"Do you know where Miraz's room is?" (C/N) whispered as she and Lizzie made a left that lead into a hallway with big double doors at the end. Two guards were guarding the room behind them, the armed soldiers were on alert.

(C/N) didn't realize Lizzie had stopped and was about to step past the wall that kept them hidden from the talmerain soldiers up ahead. Lizzie grabbed a strap that was on the leather corset and pulled her back behind the stone wall.

(C/N) didn't know what exactly was happening at the moment but then she looked at Lizzie who told her to hush. (C/N) did as she was told and waited for Lizzie to make her next instruction.

The blonde took a moment to think, then she thought of a idea. She picked up a large stone and handed it to (C/N) who looked confused at why she was givin a rock.

Lizzie whispered what she wanted her to do, (C/N) nodded and peeked around the corner. She bounced the rock in her hand for a few minutes and then with enough force chucked the rock hard. However, instead of landing to the side of the wall, it hit one of the guards in the head knocking him out. The other looked frantically around wondering what in the world happened. Lizzie shook her head and then ran out into the open, she shot the oblivious guard in the heart and then ran over to the other one. She grabbed a arrow from her quiver and stabbed him in the back, both were dead.

"I told ya to throw the rock over by the far wall, not hit one in the head and knock him out."

"Sorry." (CN) shrugged as she walked over to her friend, "that was a once in a life time shot, I don't know how I did that."

"Well, I'm not complaining...we got the job done." Lizzie said as she stood up and faced the double doors, her body grew stiff.

(C/N) came over and placed a hand on Lizzie's shoulder.

"Is that..."

"Mirazs room? Yes, yes it is."

(C/N) tried to hide her fear, "I'm right behind you."

"I know, am I ready to face him...after what he's done to me I don't know if I can."

"Well, the only way to find out is if you walk in." (C/N) told her friend who's jaw was clenched.

Lizzie nodded and took a deep breath, then with all her might she rose her bow and kicked the double doors open.

Both Miraz and his wife jolted up scared, they looked confused at what was happening.

Lizzie aimed her arrow at Miraz, her lips formed into a angry snarl.

"Get up you spineless sap." Lizzie spat, "(C/N), your in charge of Miraz's wife, don't let her get away."

(C/N) nodded and walked over to the woman with her sword pointed at her, Miraz just smirked at the two girls.

"Well well, look who's here." Miraz chuckled a unnerving chuckle.

Lizzie stayed emotionless as her arrow was positioned at Miraz's heart, "do not patronize me! We've got this castle and you surrounded."

"You don't have what it takes to kill me, you hadn't the strength to stop my belt." Miraz laughed as he came close to the point of her arrow.

Lizzie blinked as tears threatened her eyes, Miraz noticed this and smirked evilly.

"You made it impossible too, now you two are going to hang out with me and my friend. We are.."
