"I can't believe he would do that, jeopardize everyone in this camp!" Elizabeth exclaimed, she was filled with so much emotion that she couldn't decide on which one to feel.
Edmund nodded, he wasn't bothered by Elizabeth's emotions because he was just as angry. However, he didn't look upset. He was very calm but the boy was also very quiet. He was letting Lizzie talk because he didn't know what to say at all.
The two were sitting on a large rock that sat right under a big oak tree, it wasn't too far away from the entrance to the How. There was a nice breeze and shade under where they decided to settle, it was a perfect spot.
"I think he just thought he was out of options, don't be too hard on him. After all, we just lost half of our army." Edmund told Elizabeth, "On the other hand, it was pretty stupid. It doesn't matter how desperate anyone is, no one should bring back the white witch. I've seen what she can do and it's not pretty."
"No matter how much I've read about the white witch in the professor's books, I'll never know the pain of actually living it."
Edmund hated thinking and talking about that particular time in his life, he was always embarrassed at what he did. Those cold nights and lonely days in the capture of the white witch still haunted him, it was something he couldn't forget no matter what he did.
"Yea." Edmund paused for a moment before speaking again, "How did you and Caspian meet?"
"It started back when I was a little girl, my parents got imprisoned by Miraz. When Miraz saw me, he decided I was a perfect playmate for Caspian. I was the prince's age and he didn't have a lot of friends, his uncle kept him mostly in the castle. Miraz was hard on me, he wasn't the kindest man to ever grace the earth. If I disobeyed him, he'd..he'd beat me. I'd have bruises all over, I'd have to wear heavy clothes just to cover them up. Caspian never knew, he still doesn't know. Anyways, when Miraz bore a son...he tried to murder Caspian but thanks to his professor, he woke up just in time. Caspian didn't want to leave me behind, we both meant the world to each other. Now, here I am."
"I. I'm sorry you had to go through all that."
Elizabeth whipped a tear that began to form in her right eye, "If I wasn't captured by Miraz, I wouldn't be here now. I'm sorry I left (C/N) behind, I know how much she means to you."
Edmund had to hold back the tears that burned his eyes as well, "It's ok, we will get her back."
"She's a tough girl. How did you two meet?" Elizabeth asked as she cocked her head to one side.
Edmund smirked and shook his head, "It's a long story."
"I love long story's. Tell me." Elizabeth demanded, she was curious now.
Edmund sighed but it was a happy sigh, and that's when he began.
"Once upon a time, there lived a boy and a girl...."
(Miraz Camp-(C/N) POV)
They had traveled all night, (C/N) was exhausted. She was forced to walk to the camp. She had been bound with ropes while two guards were placed behind her. All the way here, they kept pushing and poking her if she walked too slow. Her feet and back hurt, she was hungry too. They hadn't fed her yet.
It was now early morning, the world around her was getting brighter each minute. The bitter cold of the night was dissipating into the warmness of the day.
All (C/N) wanted to do was sleep, but the tree she was tied up to wasn't comfortable.
(C/N) was about to close her eyes when something was thrown at her. She looked down on the ground, a piece of bread was lying on her lap.
