Unexpected (Edmund X Reader)

On The Run

Peter had finished his breakfast early, Lucy did too. She was excited, she had a very important job and that was finding Aslan.

"Lucy, can we talk for a minute?" he asked as the young girl was buckling her belt that held her dagger and cordial.

"Sure. What is it?"

Lucy sat down on a big rock in the corner of the room, she looked at Peter intently.

"This isn't easy for me to say...but...I'm sorry, I should've listened to you in the first place. If I had...may be this wouldn't have gotten so bad."

"It's ok Pete." Lucy said as Peter sat on the same rock with her, "We all make mistakes."

"But, nothing is as bad as leaving half of your army to die." Peter told her, he looked at the ground.

Lucy lifted up his head with her finger, she smiled.

"Peter, if you never move on...you won't succeed. Learn from your mistakes." Lucy told him.

He smiled and gave her a hug, both of them stayed like that for a long time. However, the hug eventually ended and they pulled away.

"Are you ready?" He asked getting up.

"Are you?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Peter replied, he grabbed Lucy's hand and took her to Susan.

"Are you ready?" Elizabeth asked, she leaned agents the wall.

(C/N) looked at her friend, the girl seemed flustered.

"No."

"You want to fight, don't you?"

(C/N) nodded, then went back to pack up her satchel.

Elizabeth came over to her friend and knelt down, she made (C/N) look at her.

"I want to fight too. But as for right now, we need to take precautions and get as far away as possible. If we get hurt, the boys won't be focused on what's important. They love us."

"I know." (C/N) said as she pulled the string tight and tied it, "I just feel like running away is a cowards move."

"I know, sometimes going away from a dangerous situation is bravery." Elizabeth mentioned, "Let's just try and get some distance from this battle."

Elizabeth stood up and lended a hand to (C/N), "You coming? I need someone to protect me."

(C/N) chuckled, Elizabeth always put her in a good mood. The young (H/C) stood up and took the blonde girls hand, both of them walked towards the end of the How where Elizabeth's horse was waiting.

"You look beautiful my love." Caspian told her, he was beaming from ear to ear.

"You look handsome as well." Elizabeth told him.

Caspian and the young girl hugged each other tightly, they both didn't want to let go. This could be the last time she'd see him, however, he let go and gave her a soft kiss.

"I love you. Stay safe." He told her as he pulled away.

Elizabeth held the tears that threatened her eyes, "Same to you my love."

"Wait!" Edmund called, he was running down the long hallway that lead to the exit.

Elizabeth laughed and rolled her eyes, that boy was something else.

"Stay safe. Please." Edmund told (C/N), he gave her a hug. Of course the young girl reciprocated.

Elizabeth glacéd at them (smiling of course) and then mounted her stead. Edmund kissed (C/N) and then pulled away, he looked deep into her eyes.
