The next two days were mundane with Tommy, Wilbur, and Drista all rotating sleeping and watching for Dream and Bad. They didn't see any other fires and went as long as possible before starting their own. Dream and Bad had been crossing over at night to avoid being spotted and revealing how close they actually were.
"This is when we need to cross over," Sapnap said, "there's a war zone right in front of us in the overworld. The only safe place is the trees we're standing in."
"How are your wings, Tubbo," Drista asked, folding her arms.
"Good enough to fly, I can cross over with Sapnap," Tubbo said, flexing his wings, "we can go ahead and make sure there's enough cover from the sun."
"Guys, you should check this out," Tommy walked to the edge of the cliff ledge they were on that looked down into a valley, "there's at least 100 down there."
"I've never seen this many vampires in my life," Drista said, "let alone all in one place."
"They don't even look injured," Tommy muttered, "it's as if they have been waiting to launch a full scale invasion of the Northern Palace, tonight."
"How did you get all that," Wilbur asked.
"Just some educated guesses," Tommy shrugged it off, feeling slightly exhausted.
"Then the sooner we cross over and warn my uncle's army the better," Sapnap said, readjusting his knapsack, "Tubbo, Tommy, and I will go first. Wilbur, if we don't immediately come back cross over with Drista. Be prepared for the worse, just in case."
Tommy nodded as Tubbo lifted up Sapnap and they soon crossed over. They stayed in the ledge identical to the one in the demon world, the shade of the forest was further back than where they had crossed over. They looked down to see a large battle in the valley below, and no angels in sight.
"It'll be an absolute bloodbath once the moon comes up," Sapnap said, "without angels assisting the humans, satyrs, and other creatures down there they don't stand a chance against a vampiric army of that size."
"What are we supposed to do," Tommy said as they looked down at the bloody battlefield in the valley in front of them, "there's too many for us alone to stop them."
"What about us," Niki flew down, dropping Quackity on the ground, "can we help?"
Sapnap looked at his friends in relief, finally a few old friends that were still by his side. Drista and Wilbur came up behind them, just now crossing over. What he didn't expect was Dream and Bad dropping down from the trees above.
"I'll stand by your side," Dream said, removing his mask, he glanced over at Drista, "I see that I should have from the beginning, no matter what. You're my king, and I will protect you."
"Am I late to the party," Philza flew down in gust of wind, landing behind Tommy and Wilbur.
"Dad," Tommy said, there was no hiding the grin on his face, "you're here!"
"Oh, I have something for you," Quackity pulled a small black bean out of his pocket and held it out to Wilbur, "just swallow it."
"A weird bean you're giving me, no thanks," Wilbur said.
"It's fine, I'd trust him with my life," Sapnap said, that statement held alot of weight because of the single life he had.
"Okay," Wilbur took the bean and swallowed it. Quackity waited in anticipation for what he was hoping would happen. It took a few seconds before he started coughing, surprising his family and Tubbo, who had known Wilbur long enough to know; ghosts don't cough. He knelled over, taking in ragged breaths, a pink started spreading on Wilbur's skin from his chest to the rest of his body.
"Wilbur," Tommy whispered, he looked almost human. Phil didn't hesitate to pull him into a hug, his eyes misty and holding back tears.
"How," He asked, looking down at his hands, still now believing it himself. "Did you do it?"
"It took a while to alter the spell and combine it-" Quackity stopped when Niki elbowed him, "oh, the short version. I restored your body."
"Told you, Quackity is the most prominent wizard of our generation," Sapnap said, and a plan formed in his mind, "I know what we need to do."
Thank you, Dream mouthed to Quackity, he couldn't undo what he had done to Phil and Tommy, but at least they had their brother back now.
"Plan for what," Wilbur asked, as hard as he tried he couldn't remember, so much he couldn't remember.
"Will, what do you remember," Tommy asked, seeing some of his thoughts, but they were still hazy.
"Dad being happy for me getting drafted, you talking about L'Manburg, singing around a fire, and the blue flowers," Wilbur said, "I know it's not much, I wish I knew more."
"That's fine," Phil still hadn't let go, afraid to lose him again if he did, "we can always make new memories."
"I know you guys want a family reunion, but it's nearly sunset," Sapnap said, "the amount of vampires on the other side could overwhelm my uncle's army."
"We're listening," Tubbo said, the thought of bloodshed made him sick, he was willing to do anything to stop it, "we'll all make it out, alive."
"I need you and Niki to go to the palace, she knows where it is. You have to get my uncle to order a ceasefire," Sapnap pulled out his map of the overworld and pointed at the mountains, "tell him that you are under direct orders of his royal highness, Prince Sapnap the clever, heir to the throne and son of Bellona."
"That's who your mother is," Phil asked in wonder, he knew of some of the ancient gods, Bellona being the goddess of war, meaning Sapnap was potentially a powerful demigod.
"Yes, only the royal family and close friends of mine know," Sapnap said, it really showed how much he trusted all of them, "Drista, you have power over the vampiric army, right?"
"Yes, what do you need me to do," Drista said.
"I need you to order a ceasefire as well, take Tommy with you," He said, she nodded, rehearsing what she would say in her mind. Sapnap glanced at the soon to set sun, "how much time do you think we have?"
"Half an hour, an hour at most," Niki said, lifting off the ground, "we should go immediately."
"Right, I'll see you later Tommy," Tubbo said it, but it wasn't a promise, it was a question. He had no idea if either of them would be seeing the other again.
I've been waiting since the prologue to bring back alivebur. As fun as it is to write ghostbur I can do alot more with human Wilbur. So much more. Thank you all for reading and please vote and comment.
